My browser gave me this warning (http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?client=Firefox&hl=en-GB&site=http://www.tektek.org) when I tried to visit tektek today:

What happened when Google visited this site?

Of the 756 pages that we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 45 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time that Google visited this site was on 2010-12-06, and the last time that suspicious content was found on this site was on 2010-12-06.

Malicious software includes 41 exploit(s), 39 trojan(s), 38 scripting exploit(s). Successful infection resulted in an average of 12 new process(es) on the target machine.

Malicious software is hosted on 2 domain(s), including iypyeeeiew.co.cc/, trtf.co.cc/.

This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS32748 (STEADFAST).

I don't know if they've been hacked or what, but since a lot of people use this site to make avatars for their roleplay characters, I thought it would be a good idea to warn people. :smalleek:

Aw, that's too bad. I use that site to help with character concepts from time to time.
Ah well. There are plenty of other doll makers online. Do a Google search, I'm sure you'll find plenty.

What is Tektek? Is this anything like a Tektite?

It's a site that lets people make avatars by clicking on various hairstyles, eyes, pieces of clothing, etc. Here's a safe copy of one that i found in my photobucket, made a few years back.

I'm going to keep checking the google diagnostic report periodically, as I assume whoever operates tektek will eventually get their site cleared of whatever has infected it and it will be operational again.
