This has probably been covered somewhere at sometime, but I'll ask anyway. Assuming that monks can use gauntlets to enhance their unarmed strike, do gauntlets count as weapons for the purpose of a sacred fist's code of conduct. That is, can a sacred fist use a +1 Flaming gauntlet without violating his CoC?

A weapon is a weapon is a weapon.

Then again, you could argue for an exception since, technically, Unarmed Strike is a weapon and the Sacred Fist is using it. But you'd be on thin ice.

Probably better to stick with a Necklace of Natural Weapons (Savage Species), or Amulet of Mighty Fists (DMG) should the former be ruled unavailable.

Technically, gauntlets are weapons, and for this purpose do count as such to the Sacred Fist's detriment, but imho, shouldn't, under the general concept that gauntlets count as unarmed strikes for a monk's purposes. As an alternative, buy a necklace of natural attacks from savage species. The cost isn't significantly different, and works with all unarmed strikes, not just the few made with one's fists.
