[CS] OOC: Dreaming of a Scarlet Christmas (Touhou)

This is a collaborative storytelling game based on the Touhou (http://touhouwiki.net/wiki/) series of games. Unlike a traditional RP, you do not control a specific character. Instead, everyone shares control of the entire cast.

Rules

At least some knowledge of Touhou is required, obviously. :smalltongue:
No original characters except for minor parts. Making up entirely new dimensions for your OC to come from is right out.
Character interpretations vary wildly. For the sake of consistency, try to respect the ones which have been established earlier in the story.

Remilia intends to have Sakuya and Patchouli combine their powers on Christmas Eve to interrupt Santa Claus's time stop.

Myrrdin = Merlin experienced time backwards. But there's already a character called Merlin, so Myrrdin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrddin) it is.

I would have used "Brando", but that would be too obvious. :smalltongue:

Seems fine to me. Rolaran did say "suggestions", so while it wouldn't be very nice to outright ignore them, it wouldn't be anything binding, and sharing ideas is always a good thing in any cooperative endeavour.

Remilia's motives...
...are entirely innocent (every kid wants to meet Santa), but no one realises this.
Meiling...
...makes up some random stuff about Christmas in China in an attempt to distract people from why she isn't currently guarding the gate. Maybe she says a dragon brings the presents or something.

No one questions it (because "China is weird"), and they actually become more eager. Naturally, Meiling is scolded just before she can run.

This leads to the SDM gathering strange items which Meiling said would be necessary to catch a dragon, leading to disturbances in other places.

An idea relating to the Moriya shrine and Byakuren:

Kanako hears about the Hakurei Shrine party, and believes that Reimu has thrown down some sort of challenge. Kanako recruits Sanae and the usual Moriya shrine hangers-on into some sort of massive holiday project (can't be outdone by that "freelance" miko, after all). If we want, we can have some fun doing a Christmas "arms-race", as the two shrines end up competing to see who can throw the best party.

Meanwhile, Byakuren is left to complete the youkai gift-giving alone, according to Sanae's half-finished notes. This ends up with her researching the traditions independently, donning a red-white suit, and heading to the SDM with a sack full of gifts- just as Patchy is setting up the magic amps. :smallwink:

According to Wikipedia, Romanians fast on Christmas Eve and get presents from Jesus himself, though I also saw some information on "Moş Crăciun" (Father Chirstmas).

Also:

In Japan, Christmas Eve is celebrated as a couple's holiday; significant others spend time together at a nice place and exchange gifts.[citation needed]

Re: time manipulation. There is another person who can do it. Hint: Santa Claus is immortal. Also, another red-white.


Someone else (http://www.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Shinki) fits the colour scheme even better.
