The Nexus Herald/Insider Headquarters
(If you missed the threads name)
First but not least: OOC Rules (Somewhat stolen from PACK)
No destroying the place, or doing something to it that'll produce a similar effect (for example, no placing a massive time freeze on the entire area forever), unless it's part of an epic plot, and you've run it through me. You're allowed to damage it, but destroying it just takes the fun out of it for all the other players.
No godmoding/godmodding, unless with permission.
Please try and keep posts longer than one or two lines of speech. Description is appreciated. One-or-two-liners that don't do much are OK once in a while - but not regularly.
Try to keep OOC talk at a minimum, thats what the OOC thread is for.
Please specify which room/floor your on so it's easier for the other players to interact with you.
The Headquarters of the Nexus Herald is also the home for the Nexus Insider, while their names are somewhat similar, they are hardly the same kind of newspapers.
The Headquarters is a five-story building with a discount garage nearby where visitors with cars may park. Employees have private parking spots just outside the building. There is one security camera just outside the building checking the parking lot and the entrance.
Basement
Boiling room
Keeps the heat inside the building.
Equipment Room
Filled with various equipment for repairs etc.
First Floor
Lobby
When you enter the building, this is the room you come into. A visitor visiting during the day will here be greeted by Miranda who also takes any calls, e-mails etc. that are sent directly to the headquarters with her computer.
Visiting at night time you will likely encounter Vetiraz who while take messages often will escort you out of the building.
This public visiting area also have a number of benches and tables where visitors might be told to wait.
The area is quite fresh with a number of colorful flowerpots and framed old headlines that decorates the walls.
You will also find cloth hangers as well as the numbers, e-mails etc. of various employees on a list set up near Miranda's desk.
The room is well lit and have one security camera checking Miranda's desk and the entrance.
Public Visiting Area
This room is filled with various computers not connected into their own system. The purpose for these computers is to show visiting school classes etc. how to make newspapers. There are large windows here as well as more flower pots, keeping the room well lit and fresh to all who visit it.
Around the room more framed headlines can be found with easy to read information texts underneath them.
There are also two security cameras here, keeping check on the windows and the computers.
Guard Office
Here Vetiraz desk can be found along with various monitors connected to the security cameras. This room often smells burnt and appears to be reinforced against fire. The fire extinguisher can be found outside here. This room is normally locked.
John's Office
Here John's desk can be found, nothing much else interesting here.
Wraith's Office
This hardly used office is Wraith's, only the computer seems to have been used, but strangely enough not the chair.
Elevator
Can take you to any floor in the building except the basement and the top floor.
Public Restrooms
One for females one for males (at least when it comes to humanoid creatures.)
Second Floor
Faith's Office
Nothing really unusual here besides the normal photographies of friends and family.
Ligz's Office
A reward or two crowns the walls inside this office, otherwise there isn't really anything unusual in there.
Meeting Room
This is the room the journalists meet in, a long table, chairs, a projector etc. Can sometimes be used for the tours arranged by schools etc.
Employee Toilets: Two unisex toilets, not really much to say about them.
Elevator
Can take you to any floor in the building except the basement and the top floor.
Third Floor
Eliots Office
Here you will find Eliot most of the time. While there are lamps in the room, they are seldom lit for some reason. Eliot prefers it dark.
Kitchen
Here the employees can get coffee and various other refreshments. The Nexus Herald shares it with the Nexus Insider.
Elevator
Can take you to any floor in the building except the basement and the top floor.
Fourth Floor
This is the home of the Nexus Insider.

Gait lives here, it's more then enough space for him really. This office have a small toilet, bed etc. everything needed for a pixie to live. This office is also often locked, especially during night, it's even pixie-proof.
Laura's Office
Completely lacks any photos of friends and family, instead the desk is covered with papers filled with various rumors and gossip from a wide number of sources.
Dimitri's Office
Dimitri sadly died in a freak accident a few months ago, his office now stands empty.
Elevator
Can take you to any floor in the building except the basement and the top floor.
Fifth Floor
A various number of empty rooms, could be used for new employees or other things.
Employees of the Nexus Herald
Miranda Tarn: The human lobbyist of the Nexus Herald, Miranda keeps everything straight businesswomen-like but is generally pleasant towards visitors. She does however not let anyone in without a good reason, the permission of a employee or a reserved time.
Seems to know some magic and have a owl familiar that sits on her desk, meeting the gazes of everyone who enters the building.
She writes articles for the nexus insider but is the lobbyist for both the papers. Eliot likes to remind people that she isn't associated with them when it comes to writing.
John Lewis: A human that as the youngest journalist of the Nexus Herald he often need to do the dirtiest of works but is now trusted upon some bigger tasks by Eliot. Is quite idealistic and seems to have a crush on Faith.
Wraith: A completely magical being that can't interact with the physical world without using up some of his magic, which makes his work as a journalist somewhat complicated. Wraith's true name is considered so bizarre that no one uses it and 'his' gender is unknown as well but he or she does seems to have one. Waith is mostly quiet as even talking or hearing requires him to use up some of his magic.
Vetiraz: This fire elemental is the janitor/guard officer of the Nexus Herald and keeps to his office most of the time unless something happens. He is considered paranoid and thinks that something within the building is keeping an eye on him and everything that enters here, well beside himself that is. Is generally grumpy and acts quite odd at times.
Eliot Shaunders: The editor and unofficial 'leader' of the Nexus Herald. Eliot seems to know pretty much everything that is going on in the nexus despite hardly ever stepping outside the door. While human, Eliot seems to work 24 hours a day, mostly with gathering information presumingly.
Faith Sunsworn: Description here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9933139&postcount=303)
Ligz Gadgethan: Description here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9933139&postcount=303).
Employees of the Nexus Insider
Gait Dewborn: This pixie considers himself the best reporter of his company and often uses unorthodox methods to find the information he wants.
Laura Rocco: Laura is an orc of unknown age that mostly act as Gait's assistant. Not is much really known of her past and she doesn't want to talk about it either.
