The one thing I hate in fantasy is the overuse of elves. They always are there taking the spotlights away from the "lesser" races. Acting like superior snobs to eveyone without pointy ears and a perfect complexion. Not to mention that in D&D they are apparently with mental deficiency. The annoying pointyears must burn!!!! And so I give you the means to dispatch the pointy eared menace.

Moving past the moral and ethical issues that make me cry, this is either overpowered or a waste of levels.

I really, really hope this is a joke. :smallannoyed::smallsigh::smallmad:

I am here to blow your mind.

In the Norse mythology Tolkein-style elves originate from, elves and dwarves are the same thing.

Bang.

This is a glorious PrC, so much that i'm actually asking for you to move that stat block out of the way so that I can get to the fluff.

I'd severely nerf Elf Genocide Strike. Essentially, an elf PC can just randomly have to make a will save or die due to a random M.O.T.A.O.C.A.U.R.W.R.H.T.E.E.R.A.T.F.F.V.R.T.W.N. B.E.A.S.T.M.F.T.E.O.T.E.E.R.A.T.F.O.E.O.F.O.A.E.O. C.T.R.A.E.A.T member using that ability 42 miles away. Maybe make it a 1/day ability that bounces to every elf in (5 ft per point of Charisma?) for example, a fighter/M.O.T.A.O.C.A.U.R.W.R.H.T.E.E.R.A.T.F.F.V.R.T.W.N. B.E.A.S.T.M.F.T.E.O.T.E.E.R.A.T.F.O.E.O.F.O.A.E.O. C.T.R.A.E.A.T member with 12 Cha, when they use EGS against one half-elf, before they roll the attack, can choose to make all elves in 60 ft take damage from that same attack. If (and only if) the individual being targeted takes damage, every elf in the emination takes similar damage.

Also, put in prerequisites. +7 BaB seems reasonable, maybe a feat or two because it looks like you want fighters and wizards to both be able to enter this PrC.

Not really. The elves (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elf) (Álfar) were pretty much always distinct & separate beings from the dwarves (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_(mythology)) (Dvergar). They were related, both being nature spirits called wights (Vættir), but despite their similarities, they were always two different "races" (ættir).

Yeah, definitely overpowered. No prereqs, so at level 6 you can be a walking elf-death zone.

Three Points:

1. Why are there no prerequisites for this class? Does this mean that you can go Wizard 1/Elf Exterminator 5?

2. With full BAB, full spell casting progression, and a large hit dice, this class is seriously overpowered and there is absolutely no reason to not take all five levels of this class even if there are absolutely no elves in the campaign. If there are elves in the campaign, then this class gets significantly more powerful.

3. Why is this class specific to elves? Why not just chose a racial enemy at level 1 of the class and then apply all effects against your designated racial enemy?

There are actually several pretty reasonable extemination specialist classes out there already. The point of a prestige class is in some ways to add depth to the setting, which this could probably do if given interesting backstory...

But yeah, the chassis of this is too powerful. Just no.

"Kill the Pointy Ears" would be an interesting beer & pretzel game.

I see you wikipedia and raise you an academic source cited on wikipedia.

"No clear distinction can be drawn between dwarfs and the dark elves; they appear to have been interchangeable." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Elves#cite_note-0)

Of course, whether light elves and dark elves were different "races" is a different question, but for purposes of walking elf genocide death zones, I think not.
