I'm confused to his/her gender? I've only found one reference and that was comic 638.

It's meant to be ambiguous. there are many comics pointing both ways gender wise

Really? I havent found one yet about female. But I thought he/she was female most of the comics. I was just confused caused it said "he" in 638

Whenever a character refers to Vaarsuvius by s/he, that character has simply formed his or her own personal perception of V. For example, Haley refers to Vaarsuvius as she, since she perceives hir as being more female than male.
