While making the rules for a new Structured Game, I wanted to make sure that the rules would all fit in a single post. As of right now, the post totals 5,771 words and will likely include a great deal more. In order to ensure that the post will actually go through, what's the limit on the size of a reply in order to make sure that I can fit the rules all in a single post instead of two?

50,000 characters. A good rule of thumb for word count is 6 characters per word, which includes spaces. So approximately 8,000 words.

ETA: if you have a lot of formatting, figure in a buffer of 10%-30% for those characters as well, which do count.

Perfect. Thank's for the heads up on this!

If you want an idea of just how much that is, check out the Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame. The first few posts are all full up, except for a few thousand (which I've noted at the bottom for my own reference). Note that it consists of a lot of coding.

For an example of a low-format post that appears to push the limits, see this post here. It's actually only 42,903 characters, including minimal coding & spaces. If your post is shorter than that, you can afford over 7,000 characters of code, which is a lot.
