If I were to make a list(s) of the commonly spent resources in RPGs, what items would I have to include it that list.

Physical:
"External" Health (raw toughness vs injury)
"Internal" Health (toughness vs poisons, disease, fluid loss, etc)
Armor
Stamina
Pain
Weight

Mental:
Memory (amount of available skills, knowledges, formulas)
Willpower
Sanity
Focus (energy uses to concentrate)

Social:
Followers (pets, employees, campanions, familiars)
Influence
Appearance
Favors

Other:
Wealth
Equipment
External Memory (books, notes, files, recordings, scribes)
Land (houses, workshops, castles, bases, factories)
Magical Energy
Supernatural Techniques (if not recorded by memory)
Natural Techniques (if not recorded by nmemory)
Time
Spiritual Energy


Anything missing? Should I do Supernatural/Magic on a seperate list?

Joy (+ other positive emotions)
Rage (+ other negative emotions)
Quirks (generally gained rather than lost, often permanently, parallels a loss of sanity)


Social:

Influence
Appearance
Favors

Reputation (overlaps with Influence, but not the same thing)
Devotion (either in the religious sense or in the eyes of specific of followers)
Morale


Other:
Wealth
Equipment
External Memory (books, notes, files, recordings, scribes)
Land (houses, workshops, castles, bases, factories)
Magical Energy
Supernatural Techniques (if not recorded by memory)
Natural Techniques (if not recorded by nmemory)
Time
Spiritual Energy

You can list stuff here almost forever. But some of the big ones you missed that aren't covered elsewhere:

Food/Water (normally a counted separately from equipment)
Fate/Destiny (how constrained or hosed you are)
Plot (Similar to fate, but often in the PC's favor)
Karma/Hero Points (Tokens that can be spent for mechanical benefit rather than story progression)

I'd suggest having a list for magic and another for equipment (weapons & other necessities) and material wealth.

How about just an Emotion Resource



Reputation (overlaps with Influence, but not the same thing)

I'd suggest having a list for magic and another for equipment (weapons & other necessities) and material wealth.


Just realized the items for equipment would go on forever and have little in common since I'm looking a exhaustable resources. The monetary wealth one on the other hand would be short.

For what purpose? It might help us.
Also: Spent, or accumulated, or gathered as 'rewards'? As memories are accumulated but not spent!
