Pale Reavers in 3.5?

Hey, I've been reading through Open Grave: Secrets of the Undead, and I was wondering if the Pale Reavers were ever published in 3.5e?

For those not familiar with them, they are incorporeal undead that can take the form of living, substantial creatures to prey on humanoids. After they drink blood, their hair turns from white to a pinkish red.

I haven't seen them in 3.5, but they sound somewhat similar to a slightly refluffed Crimson Death, a CR 11 undead on p.53 of MM2.
