Is this a good way to optimize, using an intimidation effect which spreads like a plague.

Reasoning: I found a build on D&D wiki and was considering playing it.

Here's the link: Righteous Rager (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Righteous_Rager_(3.5e_Optimized_Character_Build))

Fear builds are a well-travelled road. Basically this guide tells you how to do it. (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=3809.0)

The build you're citing isn't bad, but there are better ways to tweak it, as Caedrus's guide shows you. If it's fear spellcasting you're looking at, qualify as fast as possible for Dread Witch from Heroes of Horror. Five levels of a PrC you can get into after Sorcerer 1/Cleric 1, and by level 7 you're reflecting fear back at people and burning through fear immunities as well.

Thanks for the Guide. More or less, I'm, asking is it a legit tactic, since many high-level monsters are immune to fear. Is there a way around Immune to Fear?

yes, Dread Witch 4 bypasses fear immunity.
