Alright gang, I happen to have scored a nice combo of getting TWO cohorts.

I am level 7, they are both level 5, I am a divine caster like a cleric so let's make a dynamic trio out of this and see what power we can brew up!

Frylock, Meatwad and Master Shake.

Alternately, Groucho, Harpo, and Chico.

What type of campaign is it?

Have a Fighting Man and a Magic User.

Eventually you may want to hunt down a Thief if you go up to four.

A fighter and a rogue! That way you have some nice buffable muscle and skill and don't have to worry about preparing spells for two.

Is your build set in stone already? And if so, what is it?

Artificer and STP Erudite. Artificer creates scrolls, Erudite learns them.

3.5 using BOEF somewhat
Aasimar Imagist6 (ECL7)
22 Appearance

Rank 19 Leadership (Cohort5/40f1/4f2/2f3/1f4/1f5)
Rank 19 Cohort (Cohort5) (Imagist3 Class Feature)

Basically the character would be playing a boss. Head of an adventuring guild, party leader, uuber cohorter, and perhaps I might expand this to massive abuse.

Potentially, I could have 2 human wizard5's with Extra Familiar and Leadership when they hit level 6, then have them get Wiz4 cohorts each with extra familiar and have 8 familiars flying around in a scout net system, and perhaps further abuse being able to to use 13 skill checks at once... heh.

BUT, realistically I just want a good flavorful team, something that works well together with limited "abuse".

Both good choices!

I think I'm def. going to have a psion or enchanter to work the mental magic, scry and spy. Working illusions and transmog would work well with this, so maybe a wiz, that way the high Int could let me burn some extra skillpoints in profession to round the character?

I suppose the last one would be something tough looking, perhaps a druid or something from ToB as a bodyguard?

So the approach would be PC: Majesty, Face, Diplomacy and Cohort1: Mysterious, Hidden Danger, Prying and Cohort2: Suppression, Physique, Barrier

I like the social dynamic of this, 2 different interweaving levels of natural intimidation, and the PC to neutralize their off-putting attitudes with his inviting attitude and charm when the situation calls for soft power.

The versitility would basically turn this into a diplomancer with right and lefthand mooks.

I vote a crusader or a warblade for the third one. Maybe a white raven specced warblade for buffing you(white raven tactics is the best maneuver in the book under the right circumstances).

Yep. Ain't no better team with everyone buffing each other while bringing their own individual strengths as well as deeply contrasting perspectives to every situation.
