This is a base class I devised and wanted some balance feed back on. Too powerful, ok, too limited? Let me know.

The theory behind this class is that they are a group of monastically trained casters. Where normal monks focus on the perfection of the physical self, Student of the Rainbow Prism focus on the perfection of magical theory, with such spells as Prismatic sphere, wall , and spray being seen as the pinnacle of magical perfection. Many begin adventuring in order to search for the Seven Veils [Magic item Compendium] which they venerate as an almost holy relic.

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the student of the rainbow prism.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Students of the rainbow prism is proficient with club, crossbow (light or heavy), dagger, handaxe, javelin, kama, mace(light or heavy), quarterstaff, sai, sling, and spear (short, regular, or long). Due to their special training students of the rainbow prism are proficient with light armor and shields that are constructed from crystal. At 7th level a student of the rainbow prism gains proficiency with medium crystal armor.

Armored Mage: Normally, armor of any type interferes with an arcane spellcaster’s gestures, which cause his or her spells to fail (if those spells have somatic components). A student of the rainbow prism’s limited focus and specialized training, however, allows them to avoid arcane spell failure as long as they stick to light armor and shields constructed from mundane or deep crystal. This training does not extend to medium or heavier armors, nor to heavy shields. Nor does this ability apply to spells gained from a different spellcasting class.
At 9th level a student of the rainbow prism learns to use medium armor with no chance of spell failure as long as it is constructed from crystal.

Spells: A student of the rainbow prism casts arcane spells (the same type of spells available to sorcerers and wizards), which are drawn from the student of the rainbow prism’s spell list given below. A student of the rainbow prism can cast any spell they know without preparing it ahead of time the way a cleric or wizard must. When a student of the rainbow prism gains access to a new level of spells, they automatically know all the spells for that level listed on the student of the rainbow prism’s spell list. Essentially, their spell list is the same as their spells known list.
To cast a spell a student of the rainbow prism must have a Wisdom score of 10+ the spell’s level (Wis 10 for 0-level spells, Wis 11 for 1st-level spells, and so forth). The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a student of the rainbow prism’s spell is 10 + the spells level + the student of the rainbow prism’s Wisdom modifier. Like other spellcasters, a student of the rainbow prism can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. Their base daily spell allotment is given on Table 1-1; The Student of the Rainbow Prism. In addition, they receive bonus spells for a high Wisdom score (see Table 1-1, page 8 of the Player’s Handbook).

Weapon Focus (ray): At 2nd level a student of the rainbow prism gains Weapon Focus (ray) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Energy Substitution (fire): At 4th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Energy Substitution (fire) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a different metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Crystal Adept: Starting at 5th level a student of the rainbow prism can use a standard action to cast any touch spell they know and deliver the spell through their weapon with a melee attack. The weapon used to make this attack must be forged of either mundane or deep crystal. Casting a spell in this manner does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action or less. If the melee attack is successful, the attack deals damage normally; then the effect of the spell is resolved.

Weapon Specialization (ray): At 6th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Weapon Specialization (ray) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Touch Mastery: At 7th level a student of the rainbow prism becomes so skilled at the use of spells that require touch attacks that they gain a +1 bonus per three class levels when making such attack rolls.

Energy Substitution (acid): At 8th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Energy Substitution (acid) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a different metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Greater Weapon Focus (ray): At 10th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Greater Weapon Focus (ray) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Energy Substitution (electricity): At 12th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Energy Substitution (elelctricity) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a different metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Greater Weapon Specialization (ray): At 14th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Greater Weapon Specialization (ray) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Energy Substitution (cold): At 16th level a student of the rainbow prism gains Energy Substitution (cold) as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. If the student of the rainbow prism already has this feat, they can choose a different metamagic feat that they qualify for.

Crystal Savant: A student of the rainbow prism is so well honed in their use of crystal weaponry that at 13th level they may cast any touch spell you know as part of a full attack action involving a weapon forged of crystal, and the spell affects each target you hit in melee combat that round. Doing so discharges the spell at the end of the round, in the case of a touch spell that would otherwise last longer than 1 round.

Well, it's blaster-tastic...

Roughly equal in power to the Warmage and less flexible, were that possible...

I'd allow it: nothing broken, just not very powerful compared to even a half-hearted attempt to select good stuff off the Wizard spell list.

You may want to write some more prismatic spells, or ask someone to write a few for you.

So you all think that the increased number of spells per day at wizard level progression is not overpowering?

generally if a caster class has low bab , we give fullcasting, if 3/4 bab , we give spell to lv6, and if full bab , we give spells to lv3 or 4.

your class gives low bab, low HD , low skills, and a alignment restriction, you mostly had some abilities who are also feats. so for me it is ok.

Generally homebrewers edit their original posts, rather than reposting edited version. If you are unsure as the value of a change, and thus might change it back, you might save the original version in a spoiler, or highlight the original and hit the button with ABC on it. That will wrap "strike-through" tags around the text (which are also what I used to strike through the ABC above).
