Here is a prestige class I wrote to let players take advantage of a high number of turn attempts per day when no undead are around. Let me know what you think

The Divine Channeler

Requirements
To qualify to become a divine channeler a character must fulfill the following criteria.
Alignment: Good or Evil (not neutral on this axis)
Skills: Concentration 8 ranks, Knowledge (religion) 8 ranks.
Feats: Extra Turning.
Special: Ability to turn or rebuke undead

Level BAB Fort Ref Will Special Spells per day

8 +6 +2 +2 +6 Divine Presence
9 +6 +3 +3 +6 Bonus Feat +1 existing divine caster level
10 +7 +3 +3 +7 Channeling Mastery +1 existing divine caster level

Hit Die: d8
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Divine channelers gain no weapon or armor proficiencies.

Greater Turn/Rebuke: A number of times per day equal to 3 + Cha Modifier, a divine channeler may perform a greater turning/rebuking in place of a regular turning/rebuking. Undead that would be turned/rebuked are destroyed/commanded instead.

Turn/Rebuke Undead: A divine channeler adds their channeler class levels all other channeling class levels for all purposes related to turning undead.

Aura: A divine channeler has an aura as if they were a cleric worshipping a good/evil deity if they channel positive/negative energy.

Direct Channeling: A divine channeler may expend turning attempts to spontaneously cast cure/inflict spells as per the normal rules for good/evil clerics. The number of turn attempts and type of spell is found on the table below.

# of turn attempts Spell Cast
1 Cure/Inflict light
2 Cure/Inflict serious
3 Cure/Inflict light, mass
4 Cure/Inflict serious, mass

Bonus Feat: At 3rd, 6th, and 9th, level a divine channeler gains a bonus feat. They can choose Extra Turning, Improved Turning, Exalted Turning, or any feat in other source material with a prerequisite of turning/rebuking (DM discretion).

Bonus Channeling: A divine channeler may make an additional number of turn/rebuke attempts per day equal to one half of their channeler class level rounded down.

Divine Presence: Channeling divine energy has infused a channeler’s soul making them a greater presence noticed by all around them. Their Charisma score increases by two and they gain bonuses on certain skills based on the kind of energy they channel. Positive energy channelers gain a +2 on Diplomacy, Heal, and Gather Information, negative energy channelers gain a +2 on Bluff, Intimidate, and Gather Information. The Gather Information bonuses only apply to creatures of the same good/evil alignment as the channeler.

Channeling Mastery: Anytime a divine channeler would expend turn/rebuke attempts to fuel an ability, they add their charisma bonus to each die rolled. If they normally add their Charisma bonus to the roll, they add it tw

seems ok, my only issue is: why would you want to spend you turn attempts on anything aside from divine metamagic?

It's half casting. That is a deal breaker... spell casting is really, really good. The interesting class feature (turn attempts -> spells) can be covered with wands instead. It does do what you state it should, but it is mechanically inferior to other options.

As an aside, this site (http://pifro.com/dnd/NEW/) will generate code for a table for you. It makes everything look nicer.

So you feel this class would still be balanced with full casting leveling?
