Santa

-Shanera, Elven Pilgrim, after a particularly traumatic attack by a Santa

"I like Neirdan because he gives me candy and presents!"
-Serathan, after being asked of what she thinks of her companion, a Santa

Class Features

Weapon Proficiencies: Santas are proficient with all simple weapons, leather armor, and two martial weapons of their choice.

Enhanced Christmas Power: Santas are treated as having one more Christmas feat than he has for all effects that rely on the number of Christmas feats he has.

Aspect of Santa: At 1st level, the Santa begins to look more like the real thing. This results in a few changes. First, all of the Santa's hair(or scales, or something similar to hair) turns white. Secondly, he selects one ability off of the following list. Another item from this list can be chosen at 4th, 7th, and every three levels after:

You grow fat like Santa Claus, the fat growing to protect you. You gain a natural armor bonus equal to 1/2 the number of Christmas feats you have
You get used to cold climates like the North Pole, causing you to come under an effect similar to the Endure Elements spell, except that it is an extraordinary ability, and only works in cold climates
You grow used to being in the cold. You gain cold resistance equal to the number of Christmas feats you have
You become skilled at riding reindeer. Whenever making a mounted attack from the reindeer summoned by the Santa's Reindeer feat, you gain a bonus to the attack rol equal to 1/2 the number of Christmas feats you have
You learn the healing power of candy and cookies. Whenever consuming candy or cookies or similar Christmas sweets, you regain hit points equal to 1/2 the number of Christmas feats you have. This may be used a number of times per day equal to 1/3 the number of Christmas feats you have

Christmas' Boon: At 2nd level, you become literally filled with the Christmas spirit, unlocking new Christmas abilities from the ones you already have. At 2nd level, and every three levels after, the Santa can choose to enhance one of his Christmas feats through one of the options below:

Scion of Christmas: Your Darkvision increases by 30 feet, and the bonus to Move Silently checks doubles.

Candy Cane: You may summon the weapon as a standard action, and you may choose one additional weapon you can summon as a candy cane weapon. This weapon may be a ranged weapon. All ranged weapons come with an amount of ammo equal to the number of Christmas feats the Santa has x 2.

Gumdrop Bombs: You may choose another energy type for your gumdrop bombs, choosing one type every time you create a gumdrop bomb. Additionally, your Gumdrop Bombs now deal damage in an explosion, dealing half damage to anyone within a radius of 5 feet/ 3 Christmas feats of the initial target.

Gingerbread Man: You learn new ways to have fun with Gingerbread. You may sacrifice 10 feet of height and 10 feet of width of Gingerbread Wall to create a Gingerbread Man. This is treated as a Medium Animated Object, lasting as long as a wall normally would. Also, you may make use of Christmas feats through the Gingerbread Man, doing such things as summoning a Reindeer mount for it to ride upon, or using Gumdrop Bomb, treating the Gingerbread Man as the point of origin for the feat. You may animate a number of Gingerbread Men at a time equal to 1/3 the number of Christmas feats you have.

Santa's Ultimate Reindeer: The reindeer you summon now have the ability to kick butt. These reindeer are treated as normal reindeer, except that they now have a gore attack that deals 1d8 + 1/2 the number of Christmas feats you have, gain a bonus to all speeds equal to twice the number of Christmas feats you have(round down), and may trample people.

Tasty Candy Cane: You not only learn how to make your flavored candy cane more tasty, but you learn how to share it with all. When eating a candy cane, the number of hit points you regain now equals the number of Christmas feats you have x 3. Also, you may divide these hit points between you and any ally within 5 feet/ two Christmas feats you have.

Santa's Improved Secret: The number of feet per day that you can teleport now equals 15 x the number of Christmas feats you have. Additionally, once per day per three Christmas feats you have, you may teleport as an immediate action when an enemy makes an attack against you. This is decided as soon as the enemy decides to attack.

Even More Christmas Spirit: Instead of enhancing a feat, you instead gain any Christmas feat you qualify for as a bonus feat.

Santa's Bag: At 3rd level, you learn how Santa gets all those toys in one big sack. Once per day, you may select a bag. This bag now acts as a bag of holding, except that it can hold one additional cubic feet of items per Christmas feat you have, the weight limit no longer applies, and it always only weighs 10 pounds when you carry it.

At 6th level, you learn the secret of pulling gifts out of the sack. Once per day per Christmas feat you have, you may pull a gift out of the sack, treating it as an item created by Major Creation, treating your caster level as 1/2 your HD + the number of Christmas Feats you have.

At 9th level, you master the secret of pulling gifts out of the sack. By using three daily uses of the Major Creation effect of this class feature, you may treat the item created as though it was created by a True Creation effect. If this version of the class feature is used to make a toy for a child, it instead counts as one use of the Major Creation effect.

Toy: At 3rd level, you learn the secret of creating magic, intelligent toys. This acts as Teddy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168575), except that there is no limit to the number of toys affected by this ability, is a supernatural ability, and may only be used once per day per two Christmas feats you possess.

At 6th level, you learn how to create toy soldiers based on real people. These soldiers are treated as the people based upon, except that they are treated as having had the Toy Soldier template applied to them(See below). You cannot create a toy soldier with more HD than you have Christmas feats, and may only have a total number of HD in toy soldiers equal to 1/2 your level + twice the number of Christmas feats you possess. You receive a pool of 50XP per Christmas feat you possess to put to use making toy soldiers. You receive 50 additional XP for this purpose each subsequent level.

At 9th level, you learn how to create truly powerful toys. This ability manifests in one of two ways, with the Santa choosing one way:
1) Any toys created by the Teddy effect of this class feature can immediately grow one size per three Christmas feats the Santa possesses, and may use one spell on the sorcerer/wizard spell list as a spell-like ability once per three Christmas feats you have per day. This spell must be of a level equal to or lower than 1/3 of the amount of Christmas feats you possess.
2) You learn how to create toy versions of creatures that are faithful to the original creature. You may create effigies(Complete Arcane) of creatures as though you met all the prerequisites for making them and knew all of the spells for making them. You may take XP out of your XP pool for toy soldiers to help create them, and effigies created through this class feature count as toy soldiers for determining how many HD of Toy Soldiers you may create.

True Scion of Christmas: At 10 level, you become a true manifestation of both Santa Claus and Christmas. This manifests itself in a multitude of ways. Firstly, you gain the Major Scion of Christmas feat as a bonus feat. Secondly, you gain the ability to summon Frosty the Snowman, or Ed the Christmas Tree. Frosty the Snowman is treated as a Human with a number of levels in Warrior equal to the number of Christmas feats you have, and the Ice Elemental Creature Template(Manual of the Planes or Planar Handbook) applied to it. Ed the Christmas Tree acts as a normal treant, except that he gains a bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to the number of Christmas feats you have. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to the number of Christmas feats you possess, and lasts for a number of rounds equal to the number of Christmas feats you have. Lastly, you gain the ability to ALWAYS make it a White Christmas. This ability, useable once per day per three Christmas feats you have, acts as the Control Weather spell, except that it is a supernatural ability, lasts a number of hours equal to the number of Christmas feats you have x 1.5, affects a radius of 1 mile per two Christmas feats you have, and may only be used to call a snowstorm or a blizzard.

Alright, almost done here.

Toy Soldier Template
Toy Soldier is a template that can be applied to any living, corporeal being of Small Size or larger.

Type: The creature's type changes to construct and all HD become Construct HD.

Size: The creature's size changes to Small if Medium or Larger, or to Tiny if Small.

Speed: A Toy Soldier has a speed equal to 20 feet.

Attack: The creature loses all natural attacks and gains two slam attacks sized appropriately for the creature.

Special Attacks + Damage + Abilities: Any of the creature's attacks or abilities that rely on rolling dice instead use this result in place of rolling dice: number of dice that would have been rolled + 1/3 the number of Christmas feats + 1d4. (ex. a half-dragon Toy Soldier created by a Santa with 6 Christmas feats would deal 8 + 1d4 damage ( 6 dice rolled + 2 + 1d4) damage with its breath weapon. Any abilities or bonuses that rely on constant numbers (ex. +5) are halved.

Special Qualities: The Toy Soldier loses all special qualities of the base creature.

Abilities: Adjust for new size, and -4 Dex

Special: If the base creature had class levels, the base creature does too. However, divine magic casters cannot cast spells, and arcane and shadow casters may only cast one spell of level of up to 1/2 the highest level spell the creature could cast number of Christmas feats you have per day. Maneuvering Toy Soldiers can only use one maneuvers and one stance. Incarnum base creatures cannot use soulmelds, nor can any toy soldier bind or use truename magic. Also, casting abilities may only be added if the Santa has levels in a class that does the same typeof casting. Otherwise, Toy soldiers only benefit from Extradordinary abilities granted by Class levels.

LA: -1

Cost of making: 50xp per HD, 100gp per HD in special materials. Only Santas can make Toy Soldiers.

Alright, I know it's a lot to handle, but please PEACH.

Chart has Scion of Halloween; shouldn't it be Scion of Christmas?

What type of abilities are these (Ex, Sp, Su)?

I'm not really good at judging Prestige Classes unfortunately.

Have you ever seen the Awakened Stuffed Toy Template? The Teddy spell would work well for that too.

Debby (yeah, that's me as Debby2 or Debihuman)

Pretty much all of them are (Su) abilities unless it says otherwise. Some of the aspects of Santa are arguably (Ex) abilities, but it's a very fine line.

It could work, except that it'd need to be available to Tiny or even some Small creatures, too, for the spell. My only other concerns about this template/race is that 1) would be too powerful for a 1st level spell, which is what Teddy is meant to be, and 2) I wanted the Santa to sort of determine how the toys act for flavor and to also leave room for an Evil Santa kind of thing. Still, this one makes me want to revise Teddy a little bit, but we'll see.

Anyone else want to PEACH/comment on this?

No one? It'd be really helpful if someone else would, as I value multiple opinions on the homebrew I make.
