Alright, this one will take a little bit of work.

First, be the USA. Then release the nation of New England. Save the game. Edit the save file to remove vassalization (Victoria 2 uses the same engine as EU3, so satellites are vassals).

Then establish Miskatonic University in Arkham and take over the world for the Lovecraftian Mythos! (check out "\Victoria 2\decisions\MostlyHarmless.txt")

Say hi to Tripoli, an uncivilized nations. For those who don't know what those are, these are basically nations that have yet to embrace westernization. Their technology tends to be pathetic and they tend to end up being the pawns of the civilized nations.

They did not take kindly to that.
I might as well explain great powers now, the Great Powers are the eight strongest nations in the game, these tend to be the ones in control of the previously mentioned uncivilized nations. As you can see, the UK is head and shoulders taller then any of the other Great Powers. Those little flags under them indicated nations within their Sphere of Influence.

Wish there was a way in the game to tell if someone had a Casus Belli on you.Also, I thought I had a screenshot of the situation in north america. Mexico annexed texas and at the moment USA has done little about it.

See that green area on the map that is Batum down to Van? That is the Kars region,the Russian empire's objective for this war.

Netherlands and Spain begin a joint invasion of our Africa holdings.

Despite the fact we are in control of their capital, Serbia decides that they can still fight on. A joint invasion between us and Moldavia or whatever their name is shortly afterwards forces them to agree to a white peace. Now we can move the troops on the Serbian Front to combat the Russian assault on the Kars region and our northeast section.

The past few months have not looked kindly upon us, our northeastern front is starting to face stiffer resistance, the Kars region has been overrun, and our Africa holdings are nearly conquered. To prevent further damage to the empire I am forced to surrendure the Kars region. Hopefully they will not try to take anything else from us in the future. I must modernize our military or another Kars will happen.

May I humbly suggest that the Sublime Porte stop fooling around with high-tech equipment like muzzle-loaded rifles! Oh, chosen of Allah, get your tactics research up to date ASAP with Army Professionalism. Solid leadership is what is called for!

(errr, from a game mechanic perspective of winning battles and wars, that is; I'm used to giving advice on the Paradox boards and this may not be appropriate as a comment in an LP game if you are deliberately making inferior choices - if so, my apologies).

Assuming it is appropriate in a GiTP LP, I would suggest following up with Military Staff System to unlock cavalry, so you can have two cavalry on each flank of your front line chewing up the enemy and small all-cavalry armies to hound fleeing enemies as well as occupying territory quickly, and Strategic Mobility to make you much tougher on the defense and increase the speed with which all your troops, cavalry or infantry, occupy foreign territory. Better guns are all very well and good, but a military that knows how to properly apply the force it has is even better.
