I never really like bards much, even though they had a lot of what I wanted: decent casting, decent skills, decent combat (if done right).

The new Sandman bard variant from the Advanced player's guide has me excited about bards for the first time in a long while.

Does anyone have any advice for me about this kind of character? I really like the concept, and any optimization help would be nice: I am mostly unfamiliar with all but the most basic of bard builds.

thanks in advance, as always.

Never tried the Sandman Bard.

Linking helps:

Lose Inspire courage, but can steal spells now.
Basically mimicing a Spellthief.
Also lose Suggestion for Deep slumber when creature fascinated.

Most likely no one knew what you were talking about :smallconfused:

Starbuck_II's post was more helpful and +1 to his comments really.

well, I do take a certain joy in making characters that have some obscure class or ACF. thanks!
