Detect magic gives only a residual aura in the area. If you remember, it was Rabbi Cohen's detect evil that found the Temple of Demogorgon in the first place.

Well this is looking pretty grim. It appears to be more resistant than it was the last time... maybe it buffed itself? And it showed that it can kill Tom in one round if he rolls well.
Is Lazer going to charge right away? I'm going to hold off for a moment and use my one remaining powerful ranged attack (ice storm).

I have PSinger's permission to just run Lazer for the weekend, and his basic was just to keep with what he was originally intending. His next intention is a ranged combat spell, unless something blocks that. After that, it is going in with full melee with his adamantine hammer, and your spear is blessed with a good aura.

With Tom nearby, Rabbi Cohen will make sure he's close enough, then cast blessing of fervor. Step back a little and/ or concentrate if necessary. Or move closer to Tom if I need. Skald's too far away.

Congratulations! You all officially ended this chapter ... Chapter #4: "Here There Be Monsters!"

Next is Chapter #5: "Tides of Dread"

Because of the very slow nature of pbp ... and this is my oldest-running, continuous game on Giants ... do you guys mind if I fast-forward through some things and make a more-narrative crossing to the next section? Otherwise, to play things out that are not necessary may really make things last a whole lot longer than necessary. Something that would take a simple gaming session of this-and-that suddenly would take six months of online play.

I need both of you to say yay or nay, please.

There's soft-dinging above everyone's heads as the recent trials, the heroic actions against terror birds, deinos, and T-rexes, and even some various interaction with Tanaroans have given. Standby to hear more from me.

As I said in the spoiler in the IC marked "Segue," it is a cut scene that technically ends Part 4 in prep for Part 5. Please don't post anything IC. Thanks.

EDIT: If you need to, be sure to re-read old posts about Lady Lavinia Vanderboren, her special NPCs, the Blue Nixie, or even the Crimson Fleet. I know PSinger has the links. Swami, lemme know if you need a link to the first Savage Tide IC Thread ... this is the second thread.

Swami Monsoon, still looking for what feat you'll choose at 9th level.

ALCON, so right now I am reading through the next module. I would like to fully read through it just to get a feel for things before I go back to the beginning. It's likely that I am going to create a new thread, just for a clean break. Obvi, once that happens you will want to archive both of the Savage Tide IC threads that have gone before for reference instead of removing subscription.

If you have any general questions or concerns, lemme know.

Well, over in RotRL, instead of recruiting for more players digiman and I took on an extra PC. This game seems made to deal with a large group - ships and all.

I put this to the GM, but also to my fellow player ...
1) Can we/ do we want to ... make an extra PC, or take control of an existing NPC if allowed?
2) Recruit new players?
3) Carry on as we have been?

Actually? I am fine with any of those. In fact, I'm glad you brought it up (see #3, below).

1) Either taking over an NPC as-is (no rebuilds to make it "yours"), or making a Farshore colonist. Avner Meravanchi is off-limits. If you take an NPC instead of making a Farshore colonist, you know what you need to make a choice. You do not get to review the sheet ahead of time. If it is a Farshore colonist, the colonist must be one of the standard CORE races with NO TEMPLATES.

2) I'm fine allowing other players in. However, I only want players from the Strange Aeons pool ... NOT totally new players. This would raise Savage Tide to a full PRI-2 game. Options for new/old players is as in #1.

3) We can keep ahead smartly. Thing is, you called it PSinger ... with ships in and out of the campaign and a variety of things, this is a large-cast musical, er, ensemble. I would rather you guys choose options #1 or #2. Either more players, or more player-to-character control since there will be a lot going on.

Since you want your normal pool of players, I'd say just make an announcement in the SA Bistro.
