Any ideas on how to prevent the disaster that was last match? For me, I'm casting Shield of Faith first dangit. I'm looking for spells that can take advantage of their poor Will saves since they're both just beatsticks. Calm Emotions would be funny to knock them out of Rage, and Doom and Hold Person could be very useful.

I think this match rides on what you do, as I built Revel to be an anti-caster, not a straight up brawler. Tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it.

Well, I still have the scroll of Heat Metal and that will be useful. I have enough money for a 2nd level spell scroll and a 1st level scroll. I found Black Karma Curse in PHB2, Will or take damage as if you'd smacked yourself with your own weapon. Oro could potentially one-shot himself with that one. Plus I'd get to say, "Why are you hitting yourself?" :smallbiggrin: That could be my level 2, and for level 1 I could go with Doom. Since their Will saves are bad and will only be +2 and +1 even when they're raging, I'm thinking we pick one of them to Hexblade Curse and Doom, then I hit them with the DC 14 Black Karma Curse vs their Will save of -2 or -1. After that, I could spam Profane Agony on the debuffed one to get them unconscious. Since that bypasses Rageclaws we could do that against either of them. We then just gang up on the other.

TLDR: We pick one to debuff and I hit them with spells/abilities that take advantage of their decreased saves, then we gang up on the other one. Also, their touch ACs are very low so I'm going to memorize 2 Light of Lunias for use if our debuff strategy fails or against the remaining one.

Sounds like a good enough plan. Any specific person we should debuff to death or just the first one we see?
I suggest we take up position in Q4 or Q5, perhaps R5, and let them come to us. That way we have a clear field of view and still benefit from concealment.

I'm thinking that if they come together, we target Wildgeist for Operation Debuff n Pound. He's got Rageclaws, so if I can land a Profane Agony on him that will save us 10 HP that we have to deal with. Oro has slightly less Strength, less HP, and no Rageclaws so he'll be easier to simply beat down if we have to.

I'm pretty low on cash at the moment, so if you want to buy the scroll of Black Karma Curse (150gp) and hand it to me after we start that would be good. We go first and second, do you want another Bull's Strength or anything like that? My first two turns if you don't want me to cast anything on you will be Shield of Faith and then Light of Lunia. If you do want a buff spell then depending on what it is I'll buff you and cast Shield of Faith on myself in the first two turns.

Honestly, I think that there isn't any buff spells that can put me on the same level as their characters. I'll make do with what I have on me, I think, unless you think that there is something that would severely increase my capabilities in this match.

Not much we can do... They outgun us clearly. Our only chance is to charge in the same turn one of them (preferably Sam Jones) and one hit kill them... and hope for Nat 20s

Other strategy would be to throw Alchemists at them, as they have low Touch, but... they would have all the time to kill us...

I believe that the standardized protocol for handing an item to another player is that I use a free action to drop the item in his square and then he picks it up. If it is, I drop the square in Sam's square. If not, I use a move action to hand it to him.

I then ready an action to attack any enemy that comes within 15 feet of me, taking a 5 ft step to get into a threatening space if necessary.

Wildgeist:As far as I can tell, your current AC should be 18 (4 armour, 4 dex). You have not activated your tattoo, nor do you have a shield wielded, so you should not have a shield bonus. Is there some other reason you wouldn't be hit by a 19?

If I understand right I take no damage since one attack did miss but must make Fort Save.

As near as I can tell, no. It's a feat that doesn't specify that it provokes, and it uses Rebuke Undead attempts which also doesn't provoke. You can of course call for a high ref if you'd like, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

I'm currently AFB, but with Ironward Diamond that attack puts Sam at -10. Is -10 where you die with Rageclaws or is it at -11? If it's -10, then yep that's the end, and great match.

Unless you have Essentia invested in Rageclaws, you still die at -10.
