View Full Version : Retraining Class Abilities
I'm not one to typically care about the Retraining rules but can they be used to change class features to alternate class features.
It may not be a issue when it comes round to the next session but I'd like to have it as a option to suggest if the DM is difficult about changing the Combat style of a monk from Flurry to Decisive strike.

Why hello, awesome avatar and fellow Australian guy!
Yes, you can. It's one of the uses for Retraining called out - what's more, the example given is also Ranger's Combat Style, meaning that the change can affect all the feats given for combat style as you go up in level - this further makes it clear that your intended change is legal.
The Process
Change one class feature option to another legal one. The new
option must represent a choice that you could have made at
the same level as you made the original choice.
There you have it.
Hi :)
Thankyou.
Its just what i need. Had only read it briefly once and not really thought about again and cant access the Book atm.
Our DM can be a bit stubborn sometimes and a solid bit of rule can go a long way to making things work.
