What would DR 10/+3 be equal to? Its concerning the Vampire Lord Template

I believe it would just be Damage Reduction 10/magic, but I'm not 100% sure on converting conventions, so I may be wrong.

Dr/magic and silver: Normal Vampires use magic and Silver for DR.

Which kinda sucks, because now +1 weapons can bypass the damage reduction.

Vampires in 3.5 already have DR 10/silver and magic.
It's interesting to note that some granularity has been lost in the upgrade from 3E to 3.5E. For instance, the 3E vampire had DR 15/+1. This means that a 3E vampire lord would have had DR 15 against nonmagical weapons and DR 10 against +1 and +2 weapons, which is something that the 3.5 version of Damage Reduction can't really accomplish.
Now I suggest that we instead give the 3.5 vampire lord DR 10/piercing and magic. This will basically combine with the vampire's existing Damage Reduction to become DR 10/silver and piercing and magic. So a magical silver stake will go through (for example), but a magical silver longsword will not, and neither will a nonmagical silver stake nor a nonsilver magical stake. This gives the vampire lord an improvement to its Damage Reduction that is of the same approximate value while still being thematic.

Which kinda sucks, because now +1 weapons can bypass the damage reduction. The weapon has to be magical (+1 to +5) and silver at the same time. So a simple +1 weapon won't bypass the magic reduction. If it were DR something/ magic or silver, then it can be either magical (+1 to +5) or silvered.

or upgrade it to DR 15/silver and magic
