Once a Druid casts call lightning can she attack the next round and do 3d6 extra damage. It seems over powered but Druids are overpowered so can they?

No, they can spend a Standard Action to deal 3d6 damage. It isn't "extra" anything. Do you think dealing 3d6 damage a round is overpowered? :smallconfused:

Aaaaand this is why druids are tier 1. You can BE a tiger and cast call lightning, with the right feat. With a tiger for an animal companion. Two tigers, and a lightning bolt. And let's not forget the tigers you can SUMMON...

You can be a tiger, and call lightning bolts, but you can't maul people at the same time as you call lightning bolts. Mauling people is generally a full round action (to full attack or charge/pounce). Zapping people is a standard action (to call an individiual bolt). If you use your action on one, you don't have enough action left to do the other.

That's why one keeps a 3.0 haste spell at the ready, as well as keeping your ability to dodge thrown books and other assorted projectiles well polished.
