Luc heard the cry, and looked around wildly. Then he heard that name. That abomination's name. He was the last person Luc wanted anywhere near him. Well, next to last. Dead last was that fat, unforgiving merchant. He eyed the area around him, making sure there were no footprints to be noticed, no clues as to his presence. He shimmied up the tree, hiding in its boughs. "I don't mind seeing Layla... but not if he has to be there..."

(Layla should get the boss kill, she needs the xp most, and he's a sitting duck, supposedly.)

Ashley, seeing that the battle is dying down, decides to check out the house southwest of the main area. She didn't get far when she noticed the dancer again. "You don't need to follow me. I'll be fine from here." She hated the dancer's suicidal bravery, but was glad she had it sometimes.

Feeling the heat of battle die down, Elizabeth trotted halfheartedly after Ashley. She stopped the chase when she saw the brunette's speed double, turning to watch the dancer perform instead.

Well, I have to admit her dedication to her craft is amazing, reckless or no. Silently admiring the performance, Elizabeth noticed a twinge of pain across the dancer's features when she put her left leg down. She raised her staff and sent a glowing light fluttering over to her.

Now that that's done... Elizabeth jogged over to where the last Pegasus Knight fell, calmly approaching the river bed and wading back in. It only just occurred to her that her clothing was soaked from her constant ventures into the water to pull out falling ladies, and she felt remarkably grateful she wore armor underneath all the white cotton.

Stopping in the middle of the water, she reached down and ran her hands through it. Hair brushed against her palm, and she reflexively gripped it. She yanked the unfortunate girl out of the river by her hair with a mighty pull. "Well, a few extras can't hurt. At least this way I'm sure I have both of her sisters."

Action:
Move to F16, use Heal Staff on the dancer.

Alright, I get what you mean, Ashley would need to be horribly out of character to do that anyway. Elizabeth shakes herself from her revere. "Pardon me, could you give me a bit of help getting over there?" She pointed towards Delila, twirling her Heal staff idly.

She ran towards the archer woman, the Dancer's movements invigorating her and speeding her pace. Before she knew it, she was already by Delila's side, orb of light sinking into the cuts marring her form.

Action:
Move to F11 and wait.
Dancer moves to F12 and uses her dance on Elizabeth.
Finally, Elizabeth moves to F9 and uses her Heal Staff on Delila.

I don't either. Point is, Luc was kidding with the merchant, who was an NPC and didn't have a player who was offended by anything that was said to him, and the response to the teasing was really extreme given the circumstances.

She walks forward to Layla and gives her the thunder tome she just got. "I have another version of it, I won't be needing a spare." She said. "Layla, Elizabeth, Luc, and... Elizabeth pondered Ashley's question for a moment, idly catching the apple thrown to her. "Not exactly. My family and I are healers for hire, so we move around a lot. I have a good friend back at the monastery I've been 'collecting' for named Rosa. She had some health problems and was kind of soft spoken, but other then that was perfectly normal."

She finished by taking a bite from the apple, chewing quietly. Now that she's brought it up, I have to wonder how Rosa's doing. She was looking up when I left, but... Rather then let her worry show any longer, she took another bite, with a bit more force then the first.

Ashley listens to their own friends, or lack there of, before talking about her own. "Thanks Layla," she says as she catches the apple and takes a bite out of it. "I had a few friends where I lived. They were my only friends actually, since me and my adopted father lived in isolation from everywhere else. The names of my friends were Sheba, Elrick, Cospran, and Lucian." She paused for a moment, it was going to be hard to talk about them now. "We lived a wonderful life there, at least, in my own opinion. There were fights, but those were playful ones." She started smiling as she continued to talk.

"Sheba was very brave, always there to be with me, so caring, often tries to scare away the much shyer Cospran, who is almost twice as tall as Sheba. And then there were the brothers, Lucian was such a playful and sometimes cunning trickster, often reflected as an opposite to the more serious and straight-forward Elrick. To put into perspective, One time when I was 8, Elrick flew up to get me an apple from a tree, later Lucian would instead fly me up to the tree so I could get the apple, and then leave me on the branch! Elizabeth blinked in surprise. She hadn't heard many good things from Fierru's church about Ancients growing up, and her more recent home excluded mention of them entirely. Of course, she didn't exactly follow church doctrine. She tried to formulate a proper response, stuttering a bit before settling on what she really felt like saying.

Luc has crap caps either way. If you needed to, you could always lower the rp xp cap to 100 or 150 after a certain point.

...Only nice thing about TheBoyce being gone: I don't have to point out how much Shard sucks all the time. Luc has 10 more stat points at level 1 than Shard had at level 4. :smallsigh: (Not really a sigh, more like a groan)

Elizabeth has terrible hit chance, and gets tons of xp from healing, unlike the actual games. Hehwi's trailing behind as well, but he's only got 1 Res. We can send Soth up, though. Elizabeth can stick around to heal/support Ashley.

The second myrm should probably get softened up for Tinsley to take out. ...Looks like Ashley's best candidate for that, and that puts her up close like Starsign wants.

...I'd say we leave the knights alone, they're not coming after us very fast, so let's just leave them there.

Ashley checks around the area. She questioned herself, "How the hell did we end up here?" Her luck wasn't always good after she left her home, but these turn of events with this group took the podium for such a disastrous wreck of events. She lay close to the castle wall. "Elizabeth, support from behind me," she commented as she called forth a ball of flame at the nearby guard.

(Unlike Reed, and we've established that Elizabeth has indecent hit) Your suggestion had two characters killing the incoming mages, and Soth was the most likely candidate that had a good chance of hitting. But yes, Ashley would still benefit most from gaining the xp.

Elizabeth following Ashley would be for support conversations and the occasional healing, having higher defenses also make a nice difference. The archer is the only thing atm that could kill Ashley in one turn if other enemies attack her. It'll be Ashley that kills them, and Elizabeth who heals her.

Mmkay, Reed goes to T24 and heals Luc if stopwatch isn't back.

...Only thing I can think of for the dancer is Hehwi, since it takes him two hits to take out one of the knights. Dancer can take hits from the knights fairly well. Other thing is to dance for Tinsley if he misses.

what I suggest is Tinsley deals with the archer
then he gets the dance so him, Soth, Delila, and Elizabeth can move out of range from Joli's attacks.
Hehwi moves out of the shamans range, if he can

Any ideas for what I do? Anything that has Ashley attacking someone will most likely get her killed... And she needs exp badly. Going up would likely get her killed by the teaming up pegasus knight and monks (though looks like Tinsley will get killed for us :smalltongue:) And going down... bad idea with the knights, high crit thieves, and especially the shaman.

Layla's level 9, Ashley is level 5. You're the second highest level character in out party. You don't need the immediate exp. But I will agree with Luc and Tinsley though. :smalltongue:

I'm not doing a promtion map's they wouldn't work anyway. Stuff planned would take forever for Layla to become a sage

it might be better, but I already laid claims to it, both me and blood are gonna have fun with it, mostly because Layla's gonna think hes a girl (and thats because I though Joil was a girl... before I read his backstory...)

Trainee classes do not get a special map for promotion. Because it is less important than normal class promotion.

I think Elizabeth should probably go to V19 and take Joli's hit, then recruit him. Once archer is down, monks can't hurt her, and the mage only does 2 damage.

I took spanish, I figured I knew a couple of words so I thought I would pick it up somewhat easy. I was so wrong. Two years and I don't remember anything beside what I already knew.

Was there an indication that the knights wouldn't bother us that I missed? Also, if the knights want to get you guys, I can't stop them all, so be sure to clear as quickly as you can.

I'm not sure there was a legitimate indication, I just had a feeling. ...And I guess it was right, unfortunately.
