I cant use smilies or any posting option, and I get an error message when I try to open spoilers. I can't even post in caps.

:smallsmile::smallwink::smallbiggrin:

Smilies seem to work.

Darth Vader is Luke's father!

edit: and I can open that spoiler.

AND I CAN POST IN CAPS TOO.

My advice is the tried and true: clear your cache and dump your temp files.

I'm also having no problems with smilies or spoilers. It may be an issue with your web browser or your computer.

Respectfully,

I get the impression that you have some kind of problem with javascript, since that powers spoilers and most of the options in the post editor. Which browser are you using, and what does the error message say?

Restart your computer.

It's probably a problem with javascript. See if you can make a smiley by pasting :smallcool:

Yeah one of my add-ons just updated and I now had to click to allow gitp. :smallfurious:

Friggin' software...

EDit: I'm still unable to post in all caps for effect in the silly message board games however...

Oh, my computer never lets me use all caps in SMBGs. What you do is you add a letter in lowercase white text. As long as it's not 100% caps, it's fine.

It's not your computer; it's the forum. It can also be done by editing the caps back in after posting.

The forums have a lameness filter which prevents posts and titles from being in all capital letters.

That is, quite simply, the best thing ever. Okay, not really. But it is still totally awesome. Kudos to whoever thought it up and double kudos to whoever implemented it. I assume it is in place for much the same reasons as the anti "FIRST POST" rules.

IT DOESN'T WORK ON PREVIEW, HOWEVER.

Edit: Or apparently if you're quoting someone. Huh.

Sure it does. Once you quoted Rawhide, your entire post was no longer all in caps -- the text inside the quote box was mixed case.
