Any suggestions on where to find fungi enemies besides the monster manuals. I'm converting some scenarios from another system and there are a disturbing number of antagonistic fungus encounters. I've already run through the vanilla options still need about 4 or 5.

Hm, you could use the fungus options from the DMG and apply them to animated objects and stuff. when in doubt, reflavor.

The online fiendish codex web enhancement (google for it) has stats for an aspect of zuttgmoy, which looks fungi-like enough despite being an outsider.

There's Flux Slime in the ELH, if you need a CR 21 mold.

There's the Fetid Fungus in MMV (IIRC). It's like CR 1 though.

There's some in the Dragon Magazine that has the Demonomicon of Zuggtmoy, issue #337.

I made a fungus dragon (it can be found through the link in my sig) and I statted out savage thallids (from MtG) to go with it and/or saprolings.

Dragon 337 discusses Zuggtmoy, the demon queen of fungi, and has a handful of fungus-flavored demons and monsters to go with it.

There's also the gas spore (Lords of Madness), a Beholder-shaped fungus that explodes into horrordeath spores that germinate in your body. When you die, your corpse turns into baby gas spores.

I bet there's at least one in Underdark.

I bet there's at least one in Underdark.

Sadly, there appears to be none. :smallfrown:

What I did when i ran an adventure involving a mad alchemist's fungus based experiments running rampant was to apply the woodling template (I think from MM3) to creatures I wanted to be more powerful, and just gave the plant type to things that were meant to be mooks. Worked out pretty well, if I do says so myself

There is also the ascomoid (giant boulder of fungus) in dungeonscape.

Don't have my books on me to confirm but I think these 4 were in the DMG rather than the MM: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/dungeons.htm#slimesMoldsAndFungi

The Tome of Horrors has the algoid, ascomoid, phycomid, slime zombie, and vegepygmy, and its sequel, the Tome of Horrors II, has the fulgurate mushroom and fungoid.

Can't believe I forgot this earlier. MMII has Myconids or mushroom men.
