Was thinking about how it seems to have been awhile since the Order leveled up, and looking through it surprised me.

I can only find examples of them leveling up four times, and that was Belkar, none of the rest seemed to have. The last one being over 200 strips ago.

Is there one I missed?

Elan mentions in #647 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0647.html) that he leveled up "yesterday".

I suspect with the party being split up, they're not all leveling together any more, so it's less of an event than it was when the whole party leveled at once. As such, it may be happening mostly offscreen.

They won't explicitly level up on screen unless there's a joke about it that Rich wants to make. Other than that, it's just something routine that we don't see, like eating or pooping.

Well, I figure Roy's time in the arena ought to give him some solo exp, which'll push him more towards the overall party level.

The didn't level up in the first strip. They upgraded systems.

Also, the Giant doesn't need to show every instance of them leveling up. It's really just used for a joke every now and then.

In #12, Haley and Vaarsuvius went up a level. There's no reason to believe anyone else did, and Roy probably didn't, since he didn't process "going up a level" in that sense just then.

Yes, the Rule of Funny says he will respond the funniest way, not the most reasonable, but it also implies that they only level up when it's funny.

They aren't going up any more levels! They left the Dungeon of Dorukan a long time ago! Even then, they didn't want to go up, they wanted to go down levels so as to get to Xykon! Jeez, some people...:amused:

No they didn't? Haley said/though "That cleric wsa worth 1000 xp! Time to go up a level!" meaning that she was close to leveling.

Haley and V got enough experience to level up as they found the staircase, so as Roy wanted to go down a level, the others wanted to go up.
