Hey Mods

In a recent topic a friendly user pointed out to me something I hadn't noticed before in the rules.

Particularly the last sentence of this statement

Forum Staff: "These Rules apply everywhere on this Forum, including every subforum, spoiler box, signature, avatar, and Private Message."

What I was wondering was how that applied to topics that are restricted on the forums.

* Real-world religions (including religious reactions to gaming)
* Real-world politics (including political reactions to gaming)
* Explicit sexuality

Particularly these three. I was always under the impression that if a person wanted to discuss politics, or relationship problems that might include content not appropriate for children they where welcome to do so by PM

Was I incorrect in this assumption?

Thank you.

Sheriff of Moddingham: It means exactly what it says - the Forum Rules apply to Private Messages. That includes all of the Forum Rules (except those which logically cannot apply, like Double Posting). If someone forwards us a PM that violates the Forum Rules, we investigate and issue Warnings/Infractions accordingly.

I must hasten to add that moderators do not have the authority to review your your PMs nor do they have access to do so.
