You all wake up to a beautiful day, the sky is purple, a few mutant birds are humming a tune in the distance. You have enough water to last you for another week of eating, cleaning and general purposes. Food on the other hand is getting scarce. You have only 3 days of food left, and by 3 days that would be about 9 meals assuming 3 meals a day. The rooms are in a bit of a mess, and the wards are doing fine. It seems like today may actually be a good day.

Felix awoke gently from his sleep. He sighed. Another dreamless sleep.

No, not entirely dreamless.

He dreamt he was back in the void. Silent, cold and dead. It was worse than not dreaming at all.

The sunlight landing on his face did little to warm his spirits. He squinted his eyes shut as he rose to get away from the little ray of sunshine. He began pacing the room, rubbing his hands. They felt numb. It was starting then. The blood from his last feed was draining from him. He'd need to feed in the next few days or the hunger might drive him mad. Just like it did when...

He shook the memory from his head. He looked around the room at his "allies." He wondered if the bloodlust would make him turn on them. He hoped not. He promised Dax he wouldn't.

He approached his friend, still asleep, and gently nudged him with his boot. "Come on, you get upset with me for sleeping during the day."

"...? Oh, it's you." Dax rolls over and tries to sneak in a little more shuteye. "Well, that's because I know it means you're up at night, unsupervised...and hungry. Wouldn't do to be stuck in a building with a bunch of torch- and pitchfork-waving peasants, would it?" he remarks without opening his eyes or facing the dhampir.

Majz wakes up to Jaiver's growling stomach. "Can't wait to find food eh ball of fur?" He looks at her quizzically, and then wakes up grinning. Majz takes him outside and lets him sniff hoping that he'll lead her to something that she can use. As they walk along she picks up anything that can be used as tender and kindling.

Ah the good old front yard of your home, it has the beautiful view of the mass destruction of the various buildings in the city. The headquarters of the city watch is half torn down, the once famous bakery is now completely in rubble. The main library looks more like a minotaur ran through the whole place.

The main roads are empty and there is no sign of danger, you hear distant animal calls, though they are distant so you have nothing to worry about.

There are three main proper paths that you can go, the first it to the left, where there is a path to the graveyard and a monastery. The right has the river, and what is left of a local mage guild, and a prison, we mustn't forget that. THe third path is through the rubble, which is probably the path that has the most accidents, but may also be the safest path to go through in terms of stealth.

As you guys move in the empty streets, and deserted boulevards, you notice that there has been recent changes to the scenery that seem "man-made". Certain wrecked furniture seemed to have been moved, as half of a dust covered table is gone. Dust marks on broken pillars, and a footprint or two that have been distorted by the rain seem to fill the area, with such trails getting fresher as you get closer to the prison.

When you reach the prison, you see that it's towering presence is still intimidating, one of the guard tower still remains intact and stands tall and proud. The courtyard of the prison is completely visible as part of the once high wall has been torn down, allowing for easy access. Two of the buildings which once had five floors have had the roof torn off and a few rooms trashed by whatever happened while you were in the safe haven of the wizard's home. Two of the smaller buildings are still in tact, and the shed where all various items are in (like balls and other things that would could be in there) has it's doors left hanging.

As you enter the shed, you notice that the doors are unhinged, marks of dried paint fill the shed, someone had probably been ransacking the place since the start of the apocalypse, and probably knocked the paint over, or maybe in a panic through the paint on the walls or something. On the shelves you see nothing useful. A broken piece of a wand, a broke pot, a few clay pieces which you suspect are supposed to be bowls. Everything else on the shelves has been taken away.

On the ground, chaos can be inferred. Footprints, dust and dirt are all in disarray. Small pebbles are lined up in a chaotic manner that reflected dragging of matter on the ground. At the corner of the shed, you see a dented bucket.

Majz grabs the broken pieces of the wand thinking there might be a way to repair it at the wizard's place. She also examines the broken pot hoping to find out if it can carry water for their way back to the wizards place. She and Jaiver then make a through search of the room thinking maybe something was lost in the chaos. She'll take twenty on this search, which includes looking for trap doors and objects specifically.

You enter into the first building, the entrance you picked leads you into the canteen. There you see many benches and tables, all in decent condition. A long table is obviously where the prisoners get their meals. Your steps echo through the canteen as you step in. If it were not for the morning sun, the place would have been pitch dark. No source of light is in the canteen, magical nor non-magical. In the relative distance, you see a large opening, of what once could have been the door.

Building A
The two of you enter to see many cells, some of which have been opened. Others have rotting corpses inside. Some of the walls have been smashed. Others have bizarre looking plants in them. Some of the cells seem to have been affected by otherworldly things, there are three particular cells that are particularly striking.

The first is closest to the entrance that the you walked in. The cell walls are in tact, but it is covered by moss. The cell floor is filled with murky liquid, which have spilled over onto the main corridor. Inside the cell, you see a giant flower, with many flies buzzing around it.

The second cell is in the darkest corner of the first floor, no light shines into this cell, and you only notice it because it is distinctly darker than anywhere else in the first floor. You are not too close to it, but you can try approaching it.

The third cell is the one that is closest to the stairway up, You notice that the cell bars are not there, but unlike the rest of the cell bars in this floor, there is no signs of damage done to the cell, it was as if the bars just simply disappeared. You notice that the bed has been slept on quite recently.

Building C
As you continue to walk out of the canteen, you realise that the corridors have poor lighting due to the lack of torches lit and windows open. The corridor is completely silent, and you can go either left or right.

Lesh tests out his darkvision (if he has to actively switch) to determine which is more effective in these conditions. He glances left then right and goes down the path to the right with his sword resting on his shoulder and some extra gold pieces in his pocket. Gold is pretty after all, and even if something has happened to the economy he can still find uses for it.
