Hi guys,

We will be playing a 4e adapted version of George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire. The Arcane, Divine and Psionic power source classes are restricted for PC's(they may be chosen but power selection is restricted to ones with the weapon keyword), but the MC feats for them are available if the story permits. The players have agreed that the party will be comprised by Oberyn and his daughters, Obara, Nymeria and Tyene all at level 14.

Now we need help building them though. Oberyn is a poison using agile fighter. I am considering the polearm fighter with a mordant weapon. Obara uses a whip, a shield and a spear. So I think i will make her warlord. Nymeria will be a marauder ranger who uses knives. Tyene will be a bard. They don't need to be specially optimized individually but it would be great if they are optimized together.

Are there known combo's involving entire parties?

Any other insight will be especially welcome.

Are there known combo's involving entire parties?
Sure, they're called "warlords" :smalltongue:

Seriously though, the common trick is to focus the entire party on dealing damage of one particular element, and on giving vulnerabilities to that particular element. This works best with Frost and Radiant.

Also, adding a bunch of proning powers and have everybody take Headman's Chop.

In other insight, the DM has essentially made most arcane/divine/psionic classes completely unplayable; for example, making a good bard with no implement powers is going to be tricky. Was that the intent? Yes, I know ASOIAF has no major spellcasters, but it doesn't have paladins or swordmages either. Nor, for that matter, druids; is there a reason why the primal source is still fully available?

Lamb to the Slaughter! It's in Dragon. You pull a guy 5 and then let 3 people charge them. :D

Also, if you MC Rogue there's a Paragon Path specifically for Poison Users in Martial Power 2.

Shield and Spear combo will have to be home-brewed unfortunately, namely the spear. Oh wait! Javelins and Short Spears are one-handed, you might be okay.

Also, go Polearm Master, take Momentum and Spear Push. Then precede to go with the Headsman Chop. Stuff will be prone quite often.

Kurald's best point is Frost Cheese and Radiant Mafia. It works so fantastically.

@ Kurald
Primal are available only to halflings and for the people of the neck and the north. Bran Stark(druid), Mance Rayder(barbarian/bard), Meera(NPC) and Jojen Reed(NPC) are statted as having the primal power source while halflings have been refluffed as the children of the forest.

Oberyn, Obara, Lady Nym and Tyene all specialize in poison and evasion. So that will be their unified damage type. All of them will prolly have assassin MC to get Shadow Hand master to mitigate the poison resistances.

Obara will be whip lord so that should good enough.

@Dragonbane. The energy type has to be poison so no frost cheese or radiant mafia.

Is there a way to let a rogue get scale and use a spear? Oberyn is more rogue than knight.
