There's this lyric from a song that really disturbs me for some reason, and I want it out of my head. I can't tell why it disturbs me, but it does. Anybody have any method of getting something like that out of my head?

The lyric is here. Death through (to?) the living, the flame has no living heart in the order of life

Replacing it is the best way I find. Try listening to some techno, or any other repetitive music of your choice. I heartily recommend E-Type.

sing the smurf song. it's incapable of getting stuck in your head and gets rid of everything (warning: may also remove sanity)

Try the Oompa Loompa song, or the Duck Tales song.

They should get it out of your head by kicking it out and standing around where it was, refusing to leave. :smalltongue:

If it doesn't work then try finding the rest of the lyrics, your brainy thing may be trying to figure them out but can't remember them. O.o

If none of that help then I am afraid we canot help you, you are on your own in this task.

We can give you cookies, though. *Gives cookies* ^.^

Then get better lyrics stuck in your head. Maybe songs from a musical blog about a mad scientist...hmmm?

Singing the whole song usually helps me. So does finding other music to listen to. Try this for size. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYAiZuVSFu8)

I've heard that listening to the whole song, from beginning to end, helps getting rid of it ,actually.

Bad horse, bad horse, bad horse! he rides across the nation, the thoroughbred of sin, he got the application that you just sent in, it needs evaluation, so let the games begin, a heinous crime, a show of force, a murder would be nice of course. Bad horse, bad horse, bad horse, he's bad! the evil league of evil, is watching so beware, the grade that you recieve will be your last we swear, so make the bad horse gleeful, or he'll make you his mare, you're saddled up, there's no recourse, it's high ho silver signed bad horse!

Sorry, already had three of those in my head before this lyric started disturbing me.

I've tried that, I'll try again though.

I don't know how to get a disturbing thought OR a stuck song lyric out of my head, and you have my deepest sympathies. If all else fails, go for a run while listening to a couple of your favourite songs on a loop. I dunno if that'll fix it permanently, but it'll definitely give you a break from it!
