Dungeon Magazine is noted, of course, for the many dungeons published therein. But there were other articles and even within some of the dungeons there were nice finds to supplement a game world.

For instance, one of our DMs incorporated the Fountains of Shrennil, from Dungeon Magazine 116 on page 91. The party cleric was on a quest to visit each of the 6 fountains, each of which made him weaker in one attribute In the end, for his sacrifice, he gained all he'd lost and then an additional 2 to wisdom, plus some other benefits. It was interesting to search for those fountains. and it added a nice side theme to the rest of the adventure. The whole party really worked to help the cleric achieve his quest.

I was wondering if there were other lost beauties among the pages of Dungeon Magazine that people would be willing to share.

This Dungeon Magazine Index (http://intwischa.com/)should help you find what dungeons you're looking for at least.

There's an app guide for that (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?PHPSESSID=8mmqb5d7btm45rtnrnk1p5ird5&topic=5523.0)

That's a useful link. It is a bit more focused on the "adventures" than on the cool things you can find either within the modules or in the articles of Dungeon Magazine. I'm really hoping to find the interesting nuggets--be they creatures, feats, magic items, npcs, really anything (other than that a particular module is cool)--within the pages of Dungeon Magazine. I know that there is useful stuff published therein (other than the ready-made adventures, of which there are many, and many good ones) and I'm hoping that people can point me (and the boards) to some of the more interesting things.

Thanks. I think that guide is more focused on DRAGON magazine. It's quite a nice resource, nonetheless.

Funny . . . I never really thought about Dungeon Magazine having many mechanics etc. This post got me thinking about what I might have found in there. I'll take a look; though honestly, I typically think of Dungeon as being about the modules. I'll let you know if I find anything. There's bound to be something.

Maybe there aren't so many good things in Dungeon Magazine. Though surely there must be.

The Dragon is where the party is, and always was at.

I know that. But that's why there rare beauties in Dungeon are worth unearthing . . . to the extent that they exist.

Dragon Compendium is a quick way to scoop up a lot of the mechanical goodies.

There's a few monster statblocks that appear in Dungeon rather than Dragon-I think the Froghemoth and the Flumph were among them.

Also, the 3.5 "Demonomicon-style" version of Orcus is in the 2nd last Savage Tide episode.

Quite cool. Do you know where I can find them? I'll try to hunt them down if you don't.

The Paizo site lists the print Dungeon magazines- however, many have sold out. Places like Ebay sometimes have them- but they sell fast.
