Hail the all-knowing Playground!

For my next game I'm going to play a von Helsing-like character, most probably a
Swordsage/Cleric/Knight Vindicator and I want him to be a lasting legend instead of 'just another fighter'.

I'm looking mostly for undead-related feats, special abilities, and in particular alchemical/mundane/magic items such as stakes, garlic and holy water.
Assume he guy will be around 9th level and his budget is +/- 25,000 gps.

any suggestions?

ps. he doesn't need any (more) cheese, being a RKV :smalltongue:

It may seem like a silly question but which Van Helsing are you going for?

Well, since he has Swordsage levels, I'm guessing the one from the Helsing movie.

The Witch Hunter PrC seems to be based on that specific movie character.

There are two such prcs, one in Oriental Adventures and the other in Tome of Magic. I really don't know if the one in Tome of Magic is supposed to be an update to the one in Oriental Adventures.

Then you'll probably also want to take leadership to get an Artificer cohort.

Anyway, I should point out that RKV requires 1 devoted spirit maneuver and 1 devoted spirit stance, which is why most people enter with Crusader. So I don't think you qualify unless you are blowing 2 feats on Martial Study and Martial Stance to get in.

Unfortunately my DM banned that feat after the issue with my previous character...

Yeah, I already convinced my DM to play a 'Pious Swordsage': trading in Diamond Mind en Stone Dragon for the Devoted Spirit (Don't start about balance please)

@V: I know! I'm Dutch myself - German just sounds cooler :smallamused:

Nitpick: It's "van", not "von". The original Abraham van Helsing was Dutch, not German.

Haha yeah, it is a shame your so fixed on playing the Hugh Jackmen version because the Anthony Hopkins version is a terrifying badass.

You could try Foe Hunter from Masters of the Wild or Sworn Slayer from Dragon 324.
