I can't find anything in PHBII that tells me how the Duskblade's caster level progresses. Is my caster level equal to my class level? SRD says: A spell’s power often depends on its caster level, which for most spellcasting characters is equal to your class level in the class you’re using to cast the spell.

So, for instance, at 2nd level, would my Shocking Grasp do 2d6 since I have 2 class levels in Duskblade, or would it only be 1d6 since I can't cast 2nd level spells yet?

...You quoted it.

Yes, you caster level = your levels in Duskblade.

Caster level equals your total level in the relevant spellcasting class (as well as any prestige class advancing spellcasting, as described in the prestige class), unless otherwise stated (as with paladins and rangers). So in your example, a level 2 duskblade has a caster level of 2.
