Inspired by a combination of diamond mind counters, Archivist abilities, simplification of Omnimancer, and a few random ideas from nowhere, i give you the Professor. Needs lots of help. The idea is a guy who helps friends and hinders enemies through "constructive criticism". I need more abilities and an ability to improve "try again" checks by telling the party member what they did wrong.

The Professor

The Professor is a man of study, and he thinks he knows everything, and will never hesitate to let his friends know...

Hitdie:d6
Skill Points:6+int(x4 at first level)
Class skills:Concentration, Spellcraft, Psicraft, Knowledge(any), Perform(Oratory), UMD, UPD, Decipher Script, Diplomacy, Bluff, Gather Information, Sense Motive.

Class Features:
Spellbook - A Professor's spellbook isn't quite the same as a wizard's spellbook, it's more of a binder. A Professor may place any scroll he aquires into his spellbook, provided the spell is of a level he may cast. Pages may be removed to use as scrolls, but they are then gone until the Professor aquires another scroll of the same spell (though any instances of that spell in memory remain in memory). He may have both divine and arcane spells in the book, but any he prepares become arcane. Every level he gains 2 spells from the cleric, wizard or druid spell lists as scrolls that he may cast to add to his book.

Spellcasting - A Professor casts spells in a manner similar to a wizard. Saving throws, bonus spells, and highest castable spell level are based on intelligence.

Lore - As the Loremaster ability of the same name.

Knowledge Focus - At third level and every 3 levels there after a Professor chooses a knowledge skill he possess atleast 1 rank in. He gains Skill Focus for that skill. You may not choose the same skill twice.

Learned Endurance - Begining at 4th level a Professor may apply his knowledge to fighting off attacks to his body. He may replace a fortitude save with a relevant knowledge skill check. Knowledge(arcana) for arcane spells (but not SLAs), Knowledge(religion) for divine spells (except those cast by druids, rangers, spirit shaman and SLAs), Knowledge(Nature) for divine spells not covered by religion. SLAs, Supernatural and extrodinary abilities my be resisted with the knowledge skill relevant to originator's creature type (Religion for undead, the planes for outsiders, Nature for animals, ect). A roll of a natural 1 is still an auto fail, and a roll of 20 is still an auto succeed.

Field Research - Begining at 5th level the Professor becomes adept at exploiting data learned in the field. 1/day within 1 hour of the conclusion of an encounter a Professor may transcribe (as a scroll) any spell (including SLAs), of which he was targeted, provided it is of a level he may cast. At 10th level you may use this ability 2/day, at 15th 3/day, and at 20th 1/encounter. Though never more 1 spell per encounter.

Critique(magic) - Once per encounter a Professor may stop a spell or power from being cast by informing the caster of it's inadequacy. He must first have identified the spell being cast via spellcraft (or power via psicraft), he then makes a Perform(oratory) check opposed by the caster's Concentration check. If the caster wins or ties the spell takes effect as normal. If the professor wins the spell is countered. Undead and construct mages may use Cha in place of Con for their concentration check.

Learned Evasion - as learned endurance, except you may also replace reflex saves

Critique(martial) - At 11th level a professor starts wagging his finger at martial adepts in addition to spell casters. once per encounter he may make a Perform(oratory) check against a maneuver targeting him. The initiator rolls the skill relevant to the maneuver's discipline. If the Professor wins the maneuver and action of the initiator are wasted. If the initiator wins or ties the maneurver goes off like normal. If the initator wins, and the maneuver deals damage, it deals an extra d4 to the professor for being a smart@$$.

Learned Resistance - As leaned endurance and evasion, except you may also replace will saves
