Do your infractions numbers ever drop?

Ive got 4 right now, I just wanted to know if its like a speeding ticket, you get so many and you get an additional penalty, but if you keep your nose clean long enough, the counter resets. I was just wondering if the numbers will stay there till the day the site dies, or if I go a couple months without any issues the old infractions get removed.

Sheriff: Unless they say "Permanent" in the name, they expire over time. That time depends on the nature of the Warning/Infraction and runs from six months to two years, typically. I believe you can view the details, including expiry, on your user CP/user profile.

They always remain on your profile, but show as "Expired," and once expired, they disappear from the indicator under your avatar. (Only you and the forum staff can see that indicator, by the way.)
