What are all the fun melee classes with the social skills as class skills? I want to make my nobles warriors.

Knights and Bards...they aren't Full BAB, but they're the gods of "do as I say"

With Dragonfire Inspiration and/or Snowflake Wardance, Bards can be pretty mean melee machines as well as great buffers and social adepts :smallamused:

Clerics and Druids too; both have at least Diplomacy.

Knights, Paladins, and Crusaders for "courtly". But Swashbucklers have... other attributes (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cwc/20070227x).

Any class can use the Skilled City Dweller ACF (Cityscape Web Enhancement (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070228a)) to swap Handle Animal for Gather Information, Survival for Sense Motive, and Ride for Tumble.

Otherwise, I assume you're looking for either Bluff or Diplomacy.

Bluff:
Fighter (Half-Elf racial substitution, RoD p. 157)
Hexblade
Paladin of Freedom (UA/SRD)
Swashbuckler
Thug (Fighter variant, UA/SRD)

Diplomacy:
Crusader
Fighter (Half-Elf racial substitution, RoD p. 157)
Hexblade
Paladin
Samurai (CWar)
Samurai (OA)
Swashbuckler
Warblade

I'm pretty sure that Complete Adventurer's three base classes are the only melee classes who are completely socially inept. Everyone else can either bluff, diplomatize, intimidate, or perform some combination of the three to maneuvre their way around social warfare.

The PHBII knight doesn't get Bluff, Diplomacy, or Gather Information in-class. Are you talking about some other knight? Possibly one that sucks less?

What gets both Diplomacy and Sense Motive, at least?

That article is one of the coolest I have ever seen... of course wizards would hide it from me... sneaky sneaky

Bards, Monks, Paladins and Rogues all have both Diplomacy and Sense Motive without stepping outside the PHB. Clerics with the Pact Domain (SpC) also have them.

Beguilers, CW Samurai (heheh), Swashbucklers, OA Samurai...
