What would be the most appropriate body slot/item type for a continuous item of arrow mind? It's not an incredibly powerful spell, so what would the item cost? Has anyone tried this? Would it be unbalancing to allow a similar effect as a feat? Ranged combat is notoriously poor to begin with...

EDIT: Level 1 Sor/Wiz spell, from Spell Compendium.

300gp, Elvencraft option for bows from Races of the Wild.

EDIT: That doesn't technically remove the AoO, so I'd price it a bit higher. 2000gp doesn't seem too excessive.

According to the magic item creation guidelines, a Hat of continous Arrowmind would cost 4000gp.

Yeah I think 2k seems about right. Thanks for the input.
Would giving it as a feat option be excessive?

I'd see a bit of a problem with that, but only because the feat would be relatively weak. Most characters only have 7-12 feats, ever, over the course of a standard 20 level progression. If the magic item is available that cheaply, I would never, ever take the feat (unless it were a prerequisite to an awesome PrC).
