To note, everyone always mentions flaws but a similar system to gain additional feats exists in Heroes of Horror with taint which is able to be acquired as you progress, meaning bonus feats for higher level campaigns fairly easily.

Taint does not give bonus feats. There are, however, several feats in Heroes of Horror (as well as prestige classes) that become stronger the more tainted a character is. The most infamous taint-based PrC is the Tainted Scholar, which gets insane bonuses from a high taint score.

Of course, having a very high taint score is usually a very bad idea.

You absolutely do gain bonus feats, Pg. 67, "Taint and Bonus Feats" says at moderate and again at severe taint you gain a bonus feat, and this can be any feat which the character qualifies for.
