3.5 swordsage questions.

So, a friend of mine is running a Swordsage built entirely around the desert wind style. Our entire party is entirely confused as to if the desert wind strikes that deal fire damage ignite other objects like dry brush and wood? Hopefully you guys can help us out, as the fact we're utterly confused and it seems that those abilities could ruin everything that it hits in a town.

If it's not in the text then no, it doesn't do anything additional unless you the DM wants it to.

Though it would certainly be an appropriate thing to have happen if the DM likes to add "realism" into the ability (notice it is in quotations since realism arguments usually end up being dumb on RPG rules).
