I just got back from watching Tron: Legacy and it gave me a few ideas. Namely, what would happen if one endeavored to create a game system that did not try to mimic existing stories? What if it fully embraced its limited algorithms? What if you started designing an entire universe from the ground up based on a few simple reactions and just extrapolated from there?

An interesting line of questions, or the basis of a game system?


The starting point of course would be the building blocks of the universe and the primary materials out of which everything was built... I kind of like the Exalted system's idea of everything being composed of just a few types of energy...
