What is the best way to go around being a Sorc/Wizard?

Something simple I have found so far is a White Dragon-spawn Template/Lesser Aasimar. Sure you lose 1d4 HP but u still retain the same lvl equiv for casting spells. Plus 7NA and Wings with average maneuverability.

Is there any other Templates or.. El 1 Critters ( that adds + Existing Arcane class, or sumthing like that )

Or is Just lvling a Sorc/Wizard 1-20 really the best option?

You'll find that most people prefer to take a prestige class as soon as possible and leave straight wizard/sorcerer behind. They get all of their class goodies up front except for the wizard bonus feats that are only so-so relative to the variety of options available as class abilities for the various prestige classes. There's an arcane caster prestige class out there to fit almost any flavor you want to give the character.

Is there any good books I can look at for the good prestige classes?

There are a bunch of good ones scattered around, but starting with Complete Arcane/Mage seems like a solid starting point. Don't forget Archmage in the DMG though. S'pretty decent.

Dragonwrought Loredrake Kobold? It's the cheeziest method of going about Sorcerer, anyways, barring aforementioned dual-progression Phaerimm.

Honestly, it depends on what you're wanting to do. Lesser Assimar works just fine for most games.

all that in the races of dragon book?

Loredrake is from Dragons of Eberron and requires one to be a dragon, which dragonwrought kobold provides. It's a bit contentious. Similarly, so is the spellhoarding dragon psychosis that converts sorcerer casting on dragons into wizard casting.

Dragonwrought is in Races of the Dragon though. There's also a web enhancement (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060420a)on the wizards website that updates Kobolds so that they have natural weapons like their other reptilian humanoid compatriots. And bonus martial weapon proficiency feats like elves for if one wanted to take a Kobold into Abjurant Champion(complete mage) or swiftblade (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/prc/20070327). Generally better things to do if one wants to be a full caster though.

Like Incantatrix, Initiate of the sevenfold veil, Fatespinner, Archmage, and Sandshaper(Sandstorm) and Fiendblooded(Heroes of Horror) for sorcerers.

Dictum Mortuum's Wizards Handbook (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19869222/The_Wizards_Handbook) has some ideas.

As does The Logic Ninja's guide to being batman (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104002).

And Treantmonk's guide to wizards (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19873034/Treantmonks_guide_to_Wizards:_Being_a_God): being a god.

And for Sorcerers, Solo's Stupendous Sorcerer Stratagems (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74801).

Another powerful option is an Elf generalist (Races of the Wild) Domain (Unearthed Arcana) Wizard. you'll end up with almost as many spells per day as a sorcerer. Ride that to level 5 and take Spontaneous Divination as your 5th level bonus feat (Complete Champion). Then you dip 1 level of cloistered cleric (Unearthed Arcana) and pick up 2 domains and turn undead for powering devotion feats (Complete Champion).

Now you're ready for 10 levels of Dweomerkeeper. (Complete Divine Web Enhancement)

The end result is a wizard with lots of spells, lots of spells per day, the ability to spontaneously cast any divination he knows, arcane sight at will, any five spells out of his spellbook that can be cast spontaneously, reduced cost metamagic, and... and this is a big, collossal, universe shaking "and"... the ability to cast 4 spells per day as Supernatural abilities instead. (Which gets rid of component costs and XP costs, among other things.)

Wishbot.

You'll also want to look at Embrace the Dark Chaos and Shun the Dark Chaos as 8th level spells (Hordes of the Abyss) to convert all those bonus elf weapon proficiencies into metamagic feats and Arcane Thesis (PHB2) feats.

Oh, and you'll want a very accomodating GM for all of this.

And domains can be traded in for devotion feats as well.

Well you get Knowledge Domain and two others. Knowledge domain is kind of useless for you, so you trade it for Knowledge Devotion right off the bat. Then if you want Dweomerkeeper you take Magic Domain. That leaves 1 domain left.

Planning domain is nice because you get Extend Spell feat. If you want to think long term, pick up something like the Metal domain, which comes with a martial weapon feat and a weapon focus feat. not very useful immediately, but at level 16 you use Embrace/Shun Dark Chaos to turn them into metamagic or arcane thesis feats. (That would depend on what level your campaign is starting at, IMO.)

As for picking up other devotion feats, Air, Healing, and Protection all make good sense for a Wizard. Magic Devotion is NOT a good choice.

Travel Devotion is good for extra mobility, although giving up teleport, among others, will be a tough choice.

Travel Devotion is good for extra mobility, although giving up teleport, among others, will be a tough choice.

For a primary cleric build, sure; this one is being suggested as a dip on a Wizard build, which means that you a) already have most of the Travel domain spells, and b) won't be getting anything more than the first-level spell anyway. So you're really just comparing the Travel granted power and the Travel domain feat, and the feat wins handily (Travel's granted power is pretty sweet too, but since the duration is based on your cleric levels you won't get enough use back out of it.)
