I have heard of a set of sub levels for ranger that gives up the Combat Style feature for Monk-like abilities. Does anyone know of it?

I think this would make a much better dip for my Druid/Fist of the Forest/Sacred Fist than Monk. Especially since it would allow me to be TN rather than LN.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with a name and a source?

The Ascetic Hunter feat from Complete Adventurer stacks the two classes for determining unarmed damage and gives a bonus to stunning fist attacks against favored enemies.

There's a Moon-Warded ranger in one Dragon that gets a Swordsage-type AC bonus in place of Combat Style. There's subs for the later Style feats, but they aren't particularly monkish.

This sounds like what I wanted, do you happen to know the edition?

Dragon #340.

Also, in #326, there is the Bear-Wrestling combat style, which is unarmed combat-based. Could be worth hitting up.

Thank you, both. I found it.
