Has Anybody ever run a campain requiring atleat X ECL worth of non-class ECL(LA races, racial hit dice, Templates)? I've done it before, and it has had it's benefits, and I am considering doing it again when my current campain ends.
Once requiring 2, another time starting everyone with the Paragon Template (invalidating CR as a metric). Now this birthed some monstrosities, but it ended in good fun.
It slightly defavors casters but works fine, if you start at say ECL4 and require 2 of non-class ECL
