Introduction

Here's two situations:

Situation 1

The mage was performing minor magical tricks for the crowd, producing a delicate flower out of nowhere one moment, the next making a small image of a pixie flit around briefly. Minor tricks, but it allowed him to make a good enough living.

"Break it up! Pelor hates arcane magics! They come from the devil!" Cried the local priest of Pelor, who happened to be in charge of that section of the city. "Break it up!" He said louder.

The mage had no choice, but to walk away. After all, he needed to save his spells for later on that evening, when he and his companions would attempt to find out who was behind those odd murders in the town's haberdashery. And there was nothing he could physically to do someone with that much legal power.

"Tough luck, eh?" said the fighter of his group. "Too bad that little magics thing of yours isn't more powerful."

It was a humiliating day for Belok the Great.

Situation 2

The mage was performing some magical tricks for the crowd, first causing a man to fly a short distance, then grabbing a huge barrel nearby and causing it to disappear for a second. Minor tricks for one such as him, but it allowed him to rake in the gold without much effort.

And there was nothing else he could do to someone with such authority. However, that didn't mean that someone, or something, else couldn't. If only he had a spell already cast that he could use... oh, wait, he did. With a minor wave of his hand, a small figure appeared, and flew after the bothered priest.

As he walked away, he head a muffled "Ouch!" from around the corner. He grinned. No one would ever know why something that looked like a miniature angel with a bow had shot the priest in the behind.

It was a good day for Belok the Great.

Now, which would you rather have be your character: The mage from Situation 1, or the mage from Situation 2?

I'd think you'd choose the latter. What was the difference between the two? The first mage was using the Prestidigitation spell in its current state. However, the mage from situation 2 was using the kind of improved Prestidigitation that I'm trying to make with this project.

It doesn't make sense that, when it comes to a spell that allows you to use minor magics at-will, that it should have the same effect for a 1st level caster as a 20th level. As a character improves, so should the range of what is considered minor magics for that character. However, Prestidigitation, in its current state, does not reflect that. How do we rectify this problem?

Simple. We make a Prestidigitation spell for each level. This would allow the number of minor magics a caster can perform at-will to reflect his progress on the path to magical mastery.

What Needs To Be Done

I have a bunch of ideas for effects that can be generated from the new, higher level Presdigitation spells. However, those will not be enough, and I also have no idea which effect fits under each spell level. So, what needs to be done is to 1) Get a bunch of minor spell effects, then 2) Organize them by level.

Spell Effects

Minor fly speed
Temporary Invisibility
Bunch of other minor effects based on the Schools of Magic
Summoning minor monsters, preferably customizable ones
At the highest level, cantrips/1st level spells/ 2nd level spells(?) for free
Minor transformations and such

So, please help by either suggesting spell effects that could be used in these improved Prestidigitation spells, categorizing them into levels, or by generally commenting on the project itself. Thanks!
