So my groups long running campaign ended recently and we are starting a new one. I was thinking of a new character and I had an idea for one.

A psion that thinks he is haunted by the ghost of his dead wife that only he can see. Or at least he sees her and talks to her and the ghost occasionaly moves things...but maybe he is just a little insane and is imagining it. Maybe the things that are moved are just him doing it unconciously. He does not know but he has come to accept this.

I have already asked my DM about this and he loves the idea. Now I come to you with a question.

What is an interesting psionic build? I am looking for something far different from the norm. I am not looking for optimization just something that is fun to play and nothing like the core classes.

Anyone have any ideas?

Your concept sounds made for my Medium (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59250) class. It's modified for d20r rules, but it's an easy swap back: remove the prowess line and give it the psion's skills.

thanks I will send that link to my DM and see what he thinks about it. I like it from the little I have read.

Also if this matters at all we are starting at level 10

Well there's a bunch of telekinetic X powers...

How's this for a build:
Take 2 levels (at most 3) of Savage Progression ghost (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040117a) and the Ghostly Grasp feat (lets you interact with physical objects). Put the rest of your levels in the ardent class from Complete Psionic, and take Practiced Manifester; note that ardents base their power level known on their manifester level rather than their class level.

He appears solid, but your character is dead without knowing it. He thinks nonmagical weapons can't hurt him because he's just that tough, and either can't pass through objects or doesn't realise he can. His wife is a faint presence on the Ethereal Plane trying to call him to the afterlife - when "she" moves objects he's actually using his telekinesis SLA.

Alternatively, drop Ghostly Grasp and pay for a casting of plane shift (it costs under 1k). Now you are a corporeal ghost trapped on the Material Plane, and if you have 3 levels in the savage progression you will become an incorporeal ghost if killed.

This is my new favorite homebrew class. I always wanted D&D psionics to do this archetype.

Props if your character's name is Wuce Brillis...
