Looking at the latest page, I see the copyright statement at the bottom still lists as 2010. I think it should be 2011 now, but don't know how better to alert the Giant.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I quote from the bottom of the page;

I think GreenWarlock means this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0778.html) page.

GitP plays fast and loose with the laws of space and time. The fact that copyright is only ONE year off isn't too terrible.

Does that mean that comic is up for grabs? :smalltongue:

Actually it means that Rich established a copyright for this comic before it was even written.

There have been worse time fluxes. Some members joined in 1967, for example. I think some others join(ed) in 2038. I could be wrong on that, though. Messing with time tends to mess with memory of times.

And don't forget: no discussing the yellow curved fruit.

We're not allowed to talk about hemispherical lemons? But they're so rare, that's cruel :smallfrown: :smallwink:

Copyright in the United States is automatic and does not require any sort of notice on the product. The fact that it says 2010 has no bearing whatsoever on the comics being released now. The mere act of creating it makes it copyrighted.

It's also impossible to copyright something before it's created.

Apparently not because the first Google result + Image result for "hemispherical lemons" is this thread :smalltongue:
