If a group is in combat and the wizard uses something like teleport to move everyone to a new location on the battlefield, does that take up the other party member's move-action or standard action, or is it considered free? Same question if a larger character were to pick up and carry a smaller character. Any documentation you can show to support your answer would be appreciated. Thanks.

The easiest answers probably come from the section on mounted combat:

From the SRD:

Your mount acts on your initiative count as you direct it. You move at its speed, but the mount uses its action to move.

and:

You can use ranged weapons while your mount is taking a double move, but at a -4 penalty on the attack roll. You can use ranged weapons while your mount is running (quadruple speed), at a -8 penalty. In either case, you make the attack roll when your mount has completed half its movement. You can make a full attack with a ranged weapon while your mount is moving. Likewise, you can take move actions normally.

Bolded parts are the relevant ones.

In short, no, if you teleport people (via Dimension Door or otherwise) the spell doesn't use their movement. "They" haven't moved via a move action, so they still have their full round of actions available to them.
