I recently discovered Squadron UK (http://squadronuk.co.uk/index.html) (yes, the website is hideous), the roleplaying game of British superheroes. It's totally awesome, kinda like Captain America but British!
It's based on the 1982 RPG called Golden Heroes, but has been re-written with a polished system and UK-themed fluff.

You can find a review here (http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12248.phtml).

I was introduced to Golden Heros along time ago and thought it was brilliant.

A while ago I had to down load and play Squadron UK and it still remains Awesome. I really enjoy the comic book feel. Normally only play small campaigns but it is alot of fun, very simple system.

When I first heard of it, I found the idea of random power generation odd, but it really makes the game. Or it did for me.

...What on Earth does "British-themed fluff" mean?

Maybe it means that as 1st-level heroes, you'll be fighting Chavs in the local B&Q car park?
