[3.PF]Emergancy Wall Grappling Hook

I was thinking how you see in movies and such when your generic hero or good guy is falling, a lot of the time they have some sort of item that shoots out a rope and it latches into a wall, allowing them to recover from a high fall and swing to safety. In comic book terms, it would be similar to Spiderman's Web Slinging ability...except for the fact you'd have to actually attach to something.

Is there anything similar in D&D or Pathfinder that anyone has stumbled upon?

I know a Ring of Featherfall solves the "Falling to my death" thing, but it doesn't stop the fact that you're falling.

The rod of ropes (i believe, AFB so i can't double check) as the ability to produce rope or to shoot a grappling hook with a rope attached and latch into a wall, pretty much exactly like batman's grappling hook.

and it's fairly cheap too...very nice...
