Advanced learning advice

Hey all, I was wondering what advice you might have for my 3rd level advanced learning for a Beguiler (Must be Sorc/Wiz spell level 0 or 1 from Enchantment or Illusion)

The character is Focused in Enchantment

I really would rather stay away from PW Pain.

Really any source is ok.

I like distract assailant i think its from SPC

Distract Assailant is solid. Shock and Awe, also from the SpC, is particularly nice if you have significantly higher Initiative than the rest of your party; you cast it on a surprise round, and all enemies take -10 to their Initiative. Very useful for making sure your entire party gets to act first.
