I feel bad leaving Belkar but 617 is the winner for me.

617 for Celia.

620, for me, for the Belkster's last two panels.

I'm going to have to say 617, it was close with 616 though. I've been swayed by a closer review and the combined climax and comedically well done anticlimax. It was a good one :smallamused:

Red XIV

616 for sure.

Bleak Ink
2011-03-09, 10:47 PM
I'll toss my vote for #617, please.

#616, Celia just pisses me off so much in #617, I dislike it, although the story is fine.

Nimrod's Son

None of those are particularly remarkable, but I'll go with #618.

#619 for the blue dragon's line.

619. Tough choice though.

I'm gonna drop a 616 on you and sing about how I represent the Lollipop Guild.

I'm going to throw my vote in for Strip 619, based on the number of jokes, and the parody of MMO's.

#618's my choice

the line "you poor dumb pickle-woman" ....

is one of my all time favorite OotS quotes.

617, 619, and 620 are great too, not in the least for Hank.

But I like the over all feel of 618 the most.

Strongly considered 618, but 616 gets my vote on balance.

616's going to take the cake...

Mostly because it's one of my favourite title punchlines.

618, even though I thought 616 was pretty good.

617. Legal issue meets DnD, pure awesome.

JoseB

This one was hard. I was doubting between 616 and 619, but in the end I went for #616. Crystal's stupidity always struck a chord with me.

So many good strips during this arc. I'll go with 616.

616 When :belkar: sez you're not worth killing...

Dushara

Definitely 617, for Celia and advocates of non-violence everywhere (and for a darned funny unexpected ending).

Killer Angel
2011-03-11, 06:20 AM
I'm torn, between 616 and 617. :smallfrown:
Meh, i'll go for 616...

Ninja Dragon

618 takes it.

Pigkappa
2011-03-11, 08:38 AM
None of those are particularly remarkable, but I'll go with #618.

I agree. #618, but I don't really think any of these can be the best strip ever.

618 - come back here and die for my fleeting tactical advantage!

dogfish44

Tough one between 616 and 618....

Going with 618.

Because of the midnight FDT end time I'm not 100% certain the voting is closed, but I'm pretty certain, so:

Looks like 617 would have challenged 616 if it weren't for the anti-Celia brigade making it a love-it-or-hate-it strip. (On the one hand, it's the one time Celia's actions in this book are funny and proactive instead of stupid. On the other, this incident is arguably Celia's worst yet for the way it wound up screwing Haley.) Otherwise, things went pretty much as expected.

Speaking of which, 621 is plot-important but really fires up the anti-Celia brigade (for basically the last time). 622 is going to be a favorite just for the last two panels; for me, the rest of it falls flat. But then... we enter the highlight segment of the hundred, taking up the middle two quarters with all the best non-610/611 strips packed inside. 623 explains some of V's state of mind with a funny bit at the end, 624 and 625 are moderately interesting for V's confrontation with Qarr, but the highlight strips of this sequence won't come until we enter the next two quarters; there's nothing here to challenge 610 or 611. In fact, all three of the V strips will have trouble just with 622. Expect 621 to be the runt (if it receives a single vote), 622 to be a minor favorite, but I wouldn't be surprised by any order in the top four other than 622 in fourth.
